  1. What kind of grudge does emy sirus have for you HR? I know you get along with your neighbors. I have the land to have a lot of roosters, but you know I don't want anything else to take care of or feed...someone will take the rooster, I am sure... I have acerage. If the economy get worse, I might reconsider and have some along with hens and other edible things. I get woke up a lot of early Saturday mornings with a loud lawnmower from our neighbors in the subdivision behind us, or someone doing target pratice. Or weedeaters...or sometimes by the whipporwhills and owls at night. Or sometimes by
  2. I thought you had to have acrerage to shoot. Call the sheriff dept they can tell you... Sad people do not use common sense.
  3. copschick - I feel your pain, Dekalb has been doing this, for a year or two, no raises for years, furlough days, insurance increasce, and now more out of the paycheck for pension, yet all higher up got raises, some quit and got a bonus, such mismanagement of money..... hang in there,
  4. Postman - I would want you to be yourself, whoever it is at the time.... just a shock to see Kevin Costner go to a troll.. but if that is what you want go for it...
  5. Desi, I guess communication with the teacher is good, last year with my grandson in k was great, if there was a problem his mom got an email. This year in first grade there was miscommunication at the get go... we thought green was good, but alas it was not and before long he was sitting in front of the teachers' desk, which only hurt him, he is a shy one in the class, so all the kids made fun of him, which hurt his esteem, while we did not know green was bad.... her chart on line changed after the first of the year.... she did no communication with the parent on line... as to his behavior...
  6. What is under the category of orgaizing it?
  7. First thing postman, change your picture, please.... As for drug test on the job, most places you work call for random drug tests, exp police, firemen, county jobs.... my hubby is a popo and he has to randomly pee in a bottle no problem.... I don't think anyone would want the police, fire, etc being on drugs..... it is a condiditon of their employment, also federal jobs, or jobs that have federal or state contracts....
  8. So the ped asked about facebook.... Some parents have no clue what their kids do on the computer, a lot do, but some do not. They all should moniter, but a lot do not.... so this question could be a wake up call for some parents... How many parents moniter thier kids facebook? I know I would if my kids were not grown... but some just turn them loose Some kid will keep going on even if they are bullied...
  9. In the first place he was out on parole, what does this say about our system? Our dedicated officers arrest them and put them away and then, alas,. they are back on the street... and kill an officer... His hostages should be faced with harboring a criminal.. they were not hostages they were his buds... He wanted to speak to his Mom... how sad.... don't you think the fallen officer would have like to speak to his Mom? It is sad when a killer can control the terms of his arrest, get such media attention... he is a scum bag.. I hope karma gets him... is this a thing of the time, perps can co
  10. Age approiate? Can the K class write sentence and understand? First graders are learning to write sentences and will understand....if they don't understand the punishment, how will they learn. Maybe I am really old, but I have never knew that the k class knew how to write sentences, or to write that well.....
  11. Thanks Surepip - We bought beef this year from someone who does not feed them antobotics, etc... it was worth the money and such good meat...We get tired of beef, it is nice to know that chicken does not have the antobotics fed to them.. We will buy more chicken.... I do not want meat fed with antobotics, our systems can get an overload, and when kids are sick the antobotics will not work... Since we bought the beef wondered about buying some pork and chicken.... It is nice to know what is in what you are eating....
  12. Surepip, it seems like the carpenter bees are out a little early, we have to spray our log house every year, or they would completely eat it up.... I noticed there were swarms out today, mating season, I think.... I hate them, I swat what I can with a tennis racquet..... then my hubby sprays the house, all over, it helps, but does not completely stop them... They scared my grandson, I told them they were the ones that only wanted to eat wood and I would whack them.... he sadly tried to whack a wasp today and got stung..... they are bad this year also... Will try to have another science lesson
  13. News Junky, I have to agree.. the world is trying to be computere generated, but all need basics in life...
  14. happy2beme - I agree this is a strange stomach virus, we have had it in our family.... it is bad and hard to get rid of. One grandson was out of school for a week, almost had to go to the hospital, second time he had had it, all the grandkids have had it, I got it, so did the parents... we lysoled and washed, and lysoled, and we are praying that it is finally gone! The grandkids ped said it usually lasts ten days, it seems to come and go one day all is ok, next day runny poop.... I hope this one is gone for good...
  15. We have mostly had good experience with the ER, a head that had to be stiched, some bad illness taken care of... the one I question was with my hubby, I took him in, and his age with chest pain, they did not make him a priority... thankfully it was not a heart attack.... but they need to think about things about that.... He signed for chest pains... fever.... we had to wait a long while....
  16. Question for all daycares here, how many days do kids have to go to be preregistered for 4 year old daycare? We have been told three things... for the daycare in the area we live in... once 2 days, then again were told 3 days, then told again you have to be full time..... so what is the norm for the day cares in the area for 4 yr old pre k...? We have passed the time for enrollement, but just curious about what we were told.... what is really the norm? will have to wait in line for enrollement, cause can't afford full time.... My other grandkids love Discovery Point-E Paulding Dr. and it i
  17. Some of the ones that did not go last week was probably really due to sickness... My grandson missed last week, but for not vacation, there is some kind of stomach virus going around, it is a bad one, he almost ended up in the hospital, can you say push gatorade down them so much for so many hours or they have to go to the hospital? It is a very bad virus hope no one gets it.
  18. The HPV virus is a stange one, I have read that it can occur at anytime, with anyone, it can be dormant for years... A 60 year old could suddenly have a pap smear come back, and have to be re done at it could be the hpv virus..... people have before the test had it them forever.... 20. Tabbycat - tired and cranky? I can see, but sometimes it is because they have been told no you can not have this... so what would you do it the child after being told no went off, pitched a fit...started hitting their mom, yelled and screamed.. and you had a hard time picking them up and carrying them out of the store? What should the parent do then? Any advise?
  21. Go Blue - very important words, use credit if you use your head to do it... A lot of people do not use their head, they want and they charge, or have ideas about the zero financing in a 18 months...... If you know you can pay it off with no job or not is ok use their money, but a lot of people see this and charge when they could not afford a monthly payment to start with.. You have to use your money wisely also your credit......
  22. According to Dr. Steven Stosny small rituals can help you have a happier life at home with your family: Cleaning up emotional pollution. by Steven Stosny Transitions from Work to Home Home is where the transition trap is Published on January 4, 2011 I've noticed a significant change in the past decade of clinical work with highly distressed couples. The majority of disputes that eventually lead to acrimony or abuse or even violence are no longer triggered by alcohol use or discussions of money, sex, raising the kids, or in-laws.... Nowhere is the difference be
  23. This will only work if the soldier will accept help or thearpy for post stress, only they can start it, if not most of the time all is lost with family... you can't force them to do anything, they have to want to do it, and a few will not.
