A Suggestion For Hosts, Hostesses and other Greeters
cherokeewoman replied to eym_sirius's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Most servers live on tips, there are good ones and bad ones, but if they try, give them a break... the tips are basically all they get... some people do not tip much at all the going rate I do is at least 20% more if they keep up with my needs. I think all should be servers on here for a day, walk in their footsteps, deal with people with kids, the I don't want talk, I do want talk, don't fill my glass, yes I want refills, and see how you do.... this is not what I ordered(but it really was), I don't like this I don't like that... unless I was destitute, I could not make it I would tell you to -
I believe the Morrisons are just trying to make the developer do what they were suppose to do within the confines of the law..and the zoning laws and agrements... One during that time was never enforced... whatever the developer did was ok... it did not matter, no matter if it was written... the developer could do what he wanted void the zoning laws and it was ok and nothing was done about it. Surepip had the backbone to fight it, and he has been fighting it for years... I believe he is in the right and if the county was not in the wrong they would have already settled this.... they are just

I had one spend part of the night on my porch rail, tried to beat on the window to shoo him away, turned off the porch lights and it finally left - I had left some bread out for the birds - it looked like it was froze to the rails. Have had squirrels coming on the front porch for a couple of days..... I just wonder if they are looking for food?

A Suggestion For Hosts, Hostesses and other Greeters

Wow! Praise to all the servers in Paulding County, even if you do your job, does not seem like you can please anyone... They are servers, they work for the restaurant, they are not personal slaves... I am sure most do the best they can do to please you under the conditions.... they work for peanuts, mostly tips, so they try to please... Most try to be plesant even if the customers are rude and crude(it seems like a lot of these posters are).. take the order, do their best to refill glasses, and bring the courses as they are done from the kitchen... keep an eye on empty cups while serving vari -
You should be disgusted, this should have been your day in court... How much money does the county want to waste to say they were wrong? What a crock, we all know what went on then with developments, the developers had free reign with a welcome from the county.... they destroyed land, went over their limits, and did no go by zoning restrictions.... I hope you burn them for all of us.....

This one was a Legacy on Colbert Rd...

Surepip, I hope the best for you... you fought the fight a lot of us would have liked to.... Things were done wrong during development in those days, the developers thought they had the rights of God.... and the county did nothing to say they were doing anything wrong.... creeks were ruined/ all over the county.... a developer pumped out a spring fed pond into a small creek behind our home, we had video, but no reslove... the development behind us god hope for some of the land owners... the homes were made on man made plots they moved dirt packed, moved dirt packed/ to make a home plot on lan

Postman I don't feel like the repeal of the health care bill will harm anyone, I feel like it will have to be reivsed and we may know what is in.. Do you know what the Obama Health Care bill contained? That is the problem no one knows.. I want to know, a revision would not be a bad thing.

Glad you are a happy camper and maybe this is an upswing, but there is no builindg, no need for contractora plumbers, electrictians.... things that move the econmy in the buiding bedroom of Paulding...

We have over 13 acres for our dog to roam, he does not got far .... but we have a calico cat at times that wanders on my front porch.... I give it leeway.... I do not pepper spray it, it just goes away.

The reading rewards are an incentive they want kindergarderns to read 30 words per minute by the end of the year, by first grade they have to read 60 words per minute,, and they take this seriously.. so if you do anything on the weekend read, kids start to feel pressured by this and they feel like they can't read, so they do not want to try.... it can be a stress issue for young folks which is sad.... they don't learn the value of reading, it is if I can't I am stupid, which is also sad. hopefully you teacher will help you if needed, some do not provide and extra help, except they can not rea

Business Owners: Is this weather costing you money?
cherokeewoman replied to CedarcrestPC's topic in Business NEWS
You are so right about this, my daughter in law had asked earlier to have access from home...a lot of work could have been done from home;.. business's need to consider this. -
When the sun comes out and it gets warmer, mine will melt.... mine is very long and it will have to melt on its own.

Subby, I have to agree, my popo hubby had to go in, but got picked up by the county(not Paulding) got the joy of watching my grandkids devle into the snow.... (had snowsuits for most thanks to goodwill) this to them was awesome, the most snow they had seen... they got to sled, make snowmen, and snow angels... except for my youngest she could not walk in the snowsuit, kinda like the Christmas story, but was too young to get out much anyway.... I cooked and cooked... wen it snows I feel the need to cook for some reason, so we ate well... I walked more in this than I usually do so good exercise f

My sis's heat duct run thru her attic, so today ice slid off her house... none did on mine, if heat duct are in attic the roof would be a little more heated, depends on the house and heat vents.

Wow, many "snow lovers" are turning into snow haters
cherokeewoman replied to Itsforkids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have loved watching the wonderment of my grandkids with the snow, they have not seen much, watching the sled down hills, throw it around, making snow angels and the making of a snowman today... a carrot nose and gumball eyes... they may not see this again for years.. so I am glad they got the wonderment of this. -
He had something to do on his days off, was just not sitting around or wandering the house cause he had nothing to do... big difference.

Dang ... Paulding's roads look better than Peachtree St in Atlanta
cherokeewoman replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I viewed most of the video it kinda stuck in the middle, so I got tired of waiting.... did not see Peachtree City on the news, but I think they got more ice than anythiing... Our home is 1/2 mile off the road and the main road gives us the option of 2 hills to get up. Glad to see some of our roads clear, but there will be ice on them in the am... Praying for sun tomorrow. -
Channel 11 went a little overboard with coverage, the same things over and over today...
-
Our neighbors cleared some street in front of their house, but the rest of the road is ice. Thanks for leaving the pile up in the front of our driveway, that will be a mass of ice in the am...

I will commend the state DOT for their efforts, they ploughed. salted, then it froze over again.... they try to do the insterstates first they even had extra help.... We have a lot of interstates, we do not have a lot of snow equipment, it does not do this several times a year like up north, so they did a good job trying to keep things clear... I will commend them, they worked for days without stop, or probably without a lot of rest... They did the best they could - working non stop... If you want cleared roads fast, move up north... I am sure it is much easier to get rid of snow than ice...
