New convenience stores near two high schools and a 150-home subdivision in the rapidly developing Cedarcrest Road corridor are on the county planning commission’s agenda Tuesday.
Rezonings of residential land for new convenience stores are requested on Dabbs Bridge Road near Harmony Grove Church Road in north Paulding; Hiram-Douglasville Highway at Ridge Road in southeast Paulding; and at Bill Carruth Parkway and Ballentine Drive in Hiram.
• Hakim Damani, who is seeking to rezone 16 acres from Suburban Residential to General Business for a convenience store on Dabbs Bridge Road east of Harmony Church Grove Road. The site is near the three-school cluster that includes North Paulding High School.
• Arpit Realty LLC, which is requesting rezoning of 1.4 acres from Suburban Residential to General Business for a general retail or convenience store on Ga. Hwy. 92 (also known as Hiram-Douglasville Highway) at Ridge Road.
• Shah R. Lodhi, who is requesting rezoning of 1.65 acres from Suburban Residential) to General Business for a convenience store on Bill Carruth Parkway and Virgie Ballentine Drive. The site is near Hiram High School.
The subdivision request is for a 71-acre site on Cedarcrest Road south of Cedarcrest Boulevard in northeast Paulding.
J&A Construction & Homebuilders is requesting the rezoning from Suburban Residential to Low Density Quality Residential Development District to build 150 residences. The site is near Shelton Elementary School.
