The Postman for Pres and former member for VP. Heck I would vote for that, gotta be better than the choices I have now. At the very least it would be entertaining and I think they would at care more about the country than themselves.

When Smyrna was going through it's major rebuilding stage, they gave out all sorts of chickencheezee tickets. Nothing but building revenue for the new city buildings. And before someone says that is just speculation, my uncle was on that force for over 30 years and after he retired due to health issues, he confirmed it. As Ripley says; Believe It or Not.

I think I know, but I am not 100% positive. I will try and confirm.

As someone who logs a lot of highway miles through 6 or more states every year, I have always tried to move over even when it is just a car on the side of the highway and not LE. You never know when someone is going to come around and open a door without looking. It is second nature to me.
-
The auto plant up the highway really helped that area out. Also, cheapest gas anywhere in the southeast can be found on that stretch of I85, at least $0.10 to $0.25 cheaper.

I am semi-polite to those who come to my door and I have not had any repeat callers for many years. But the OP was asking about those who repeatedly keep coming back and will ring the bell and wait for 15 minutes. The last time I had a similar issue was 30 something years ago. I worked at night and was constantly being woke up by those who were concerned about my spirtual welfare. After being nice and repeatedly asking them to please stop calling on me, I did answer the door with a Colt Trooper in my hand (as I said in my other post, just holding it, not pointing it) and explained that I w

While GA is the "Peach State", SC is and has been the leading producer of peaches for many years.
-
Either way, I AGREE!
-
Not real sure what you said, but I dang sure agree with the sentiment.

From the thread on Offensive Words Posted by: NC-17 Posted 01 September 2012 - 02:37 PM Wait. People are worried about words now? Last night I stole a linen napkin from a fancy restaurant to soak up my crotch sweat, made a guy from San Diego cry, played five dollars worth of wagon wheel on the jukebox...back to back at a place called 'the zoo', danced on the bar with a giant stuffed panther, had a shot named after me "crazy bitch", drank nine of them, asked a lilburn cop to hold my beer while I peed in the parkinglot, and probably caught hepatitis. People should be waaaaaaay mo

Oh shoot, and here I was worring about how I looked in your eyes. How am I ever going to get through the day without your apporval. It is going to be tough but I guess I will just have to try and remember your post on how you live your life and go from there. It was such a wholesome, caring way of life, very giving as I remember, mostly to...never mind. Feel free to ring my doorbell anytime.

I googled jeebus because I was going to say something along the lines of I tried to find him but he wasn't even on google. But, dang! Here is what popped up in the Urban Dictionary: jeebus A name used on progressive blogs to deride intolerant religious rightwingers ("fundies") who use the Christian faith as a flag and front for every one of their nastiest motivations, statements and actions, hiding hate behind professed faith. Basically "jeebus" is a code word for lefties permitting them to mock self-annointed religious frothing biters / ultraconservatives of the social or financial

I have found that answering the door while holding a gun, not pointing just holding, makes for a short conversation and a final one.

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?
cookies are sweet replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think a better question is; Is the country as a whole better off now than it was 4 years ago. It just depends on what type business you are in to determine if you are better or worse now. If you are in the repo business or a business like a friend of mine is, they buy foreclosed on houses then rent or sell them, you are probably doing a lot better. Gun and ammo sales are up, so people that work in that industry are doing better and some business's that do repairs are doing better than they were 4 years ago. People are getting things repaired rather then buying new; cars, trailers, comput -
That sounds like the ones my mom did. They were very simple and easy and they did seem to help a lot. She still does tham.

A friend has it and my mother had it. Both were given an antivert and it did really affected my mom, she wouldn't even remember you had been there for a visit, it did not affect my friend as bad. Either with the antivert or without my mom couldn't drive, too dangerous. She quit taking the antivert, it just put her in lala land, and over time her vertigo gradually got better and she is doing ok now. One thing that she did and still does is she does not get up quickly, she moves slower when getting out of bed or out of a chair, that seemed to help her. I am not a doctor, but based on the

Ahhh, I see I have converted you to my new enlightened way. I am thinking that I may start taking donations. (hint hint)

LPPT, I am not picking on you by any means. But after reading this post I realized that I have been wrong about the need for political correctness. I know you are a good person and were not aware how the use of some words or phrases could be hurtful to others, but after looking this over I feel that we need to take this more serious. I have listed some words and phrases that can be offensive and hurtful to others along with the reasons why they are bad. I do this only in the spirit of trying make others become as enlightened as I have now become. Phrases and words that are offensive

County approves budget, rollback rate by 4-1 vote

Just an FYI about pay for DOT jobs. Did you know that the person that holds the flag and waves you on or stops you at a DOT work site makes more money than the people who are working with the shovels? Do you know why that is? Because it is harder to lean on a flag than a shovel. (bet you thought I was going to say something about saftey, didn't you) -
That was YOU? I was wondering who that was.
-
Cursing is acceptable on TV and in public, but phrases that have been in use for hundreds of years are now unacceptable. I guess when we said that political correctness would end up being taken to the extreme and those "loving, caring, don't say or do anything to hurt anybody's feelings" people said that we were overreacting, it now looks as if those political correct people were right. No extreme here.
-
Same here. Sadly, one has as much truth in it as the other. Same with the DNC.
-
They are waiting for the DNC. Same people who watch Boo Boo vote for Obama.

Taking Women Back To The 1950's By Legislation

I think it's absurd that anyone, male or female, would want a piercing in those areas, but then again that is just me. To each his or her own. Except my kid or grandkids! (who am I kidding, grandma will give in)
