  1. Is it just me or is that look saying; "please someone save me"?
  2. I was the main character from the film 'A Clockwork Orange' one year. I was dressed as he was at the start of the movie, when he and his gang were terrorizing the town. Some didn't get it, but the ones who did loved it. Cheap and easy costume. Edited for LPPT: This was quite a few years ago, I was thin and looked dang good in my long johns.
  3. I am just a dumb 'ole southern boy, I just think that if you have income you pay some part of that income as a tax. Like the man said, 1% ain't to much to ask. Let's all do our part.
  4. ' Just looking at this statement tells me how little common sense is used any more. The fact the you had to explain this is what's wrong. You are discussing a federal income tax and yet you have to spell out that anyone with income should have to pay the federal goverment a tax, because some want special rights. I would have thought just the words federal income tax, would have told us right there that everyone with income should pay a tax to the federal goverment. 1% ain't to much to ask is it? Sad that we have gotten so specialized that there are those who are exempted from wh
  5. Actually I am against all the refs, union or otherwise. If anyone remembers Jerry Markbright, you know why.
  6. I was against the replacement refs, but if Tom Brady is getting hurt, go scabs!
  7. Sorry that you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was typing my post while you were posting yours, so I did not even see your post until after I posted mine. I was speaking about my bad decisions and my bad mistakes while trying to point out that in general we as the saying goes, reap what we sow. I am glad you got away from a bad situation and are ok. I too had too "get away" from a bad marrage and again I started with nothing, actually less than nothing as I had debt, getting back to nothing was a happy day. This was after my other mistakes and I had already had to start over wit
  8. If your a healthy adult, not going to school and making mininum wage, you need to take a hard look at your life choices. You must have made some real bad ones and you definitely should not be married or have any children. Before anyone gets all (as the kids say) up in my grill, I made real good money from high school until I was around 30, then do to my bad life choices, I made less than minimum wage for a year or so as I tried to make better decisions and improve my life. I am happy to say that I, so far, have learned from my mistakes and am doing ok. But these were my mistakes and I ne
  9. These basically are high school refs. They are not college, those guys already have a job.
  10. Girl has a future in comedy. And I thought I was going to find me a new denture place.
  11. First let me say again, 3-0 is a great start and I hope they keep it up. They have some issues, but they seem to be able to overcome them so far. A new stadium is comming, that is already set. I expect that when it opens I will let my tickets go. The thing now is to charge season ticket holders a PSL (Personal Seat License), you have to buy one of those to get the "right" to buy season tickets. They have been charging anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 for a PSL, depending on the team and where you want to buy your seats. By the time the new stadium opens, I will have had my season ticket
  12. Russell Wilson made NFL history in the Monday night game. He is the first NFL quarterback to win a game by throwing an interception.
  13. Hey! Hey! I mean...just Hey! I'm working on it. Well, I'm thinking of working on it.
  14. I don't know about his checkbook, but he has opened up the checkbooks of the long time season ticket holders. Since Blank bought the team, my tickets have increased in price every year, in fact, take a guess how much they have increased. Did you guess, 50%, 100%, 200% nope, guess again. They have increased over 300%, while at the same time he has lowered ticket prices in the other areas of the stadium. The family that sits in front of us, who have had season tickets for 37 years, let his go this year. He was a BIG Falcon fan, they had 5 seats, he had all the gear, tailgated every game and
  15. Being a season ticket holder for over 30 years, I've seen some great highs and a lot of lows. I remember being at the Super Bowl in Miami when the Falcons played Denver. I was so excited and nervous, the guy in front of me turned around and said; you're about to vibrate right out of that chair. Later in the 4th quarter when it was obvious that ATL was going to lose, the same guy turned around and said; before the game you were vibrating like nobodys business, now your team is about to lose the Super Bowl and you're sitting back all calm and relaxed. What gives? I told him; that winning
  16. Closed on Monday. (tried to eat there today) I think the rest of week was 10am to 7pm. Probably closed on Sunday.
  17. Dang, what could you say about Buddy Holly that would need to be edited? By the way, for those who do not know who Buddy Holly is, you are missing a large part of rock & roll history. One last note, a piece of Buddy Holly trivia; the song 'That will be the Day' was inspired by a line John Wayne's character used several times in the movie 'The Seachers'. Great song and great movie.
  18. I have been through too many disappointing seasons to get to excited yet. Happy to be 3-0 but, lot of football left. I remember starting 4-0 and not even breaking .500. But again, better to be 3-0 than 0-3.
  19. Only issue with the sign I have is that it makes me miss my momma's chicken and collards. Their business, their sign. I say put what you want on it. Glad money was raised.
  20. My mother is as white bread, southern and country as you can get. Her house quite often smells like collard greens and fried chicken, I always thought that was a good thing. If I was going to slamm Obama, I would pick a different saying, that one just makes me hungry.
  21. ALWAYS! ALWAYS! ALWAYS! Lock your car! Even in your own driveway! Tough lesson for your daughter, but hopefully one learned. A couple of years ago my wife had several hundred dollars of Christmas presents, for the grandkids, stolen from her car overnite while it was in our driveway. I was on the phone ranting and raving about her not locking the car doors to a friend. When I finally paused for a breath of air, my friend said; "Don't be to hard on her, I'm sure it won't happen a second time." I replied; "Heck no it won't! This is the third time!" My friend quietly said; "Oh. Then I go
  22. Either sandwiches or steak. Depends on wheither or not one of us goes to the store for the steak.
