Since very person is different, every situation is different and every family is different, my thoughts on these type of situations are as follows. Think what you would say to a friend if they came to you for advice and explained to you the current situation and all of the back story. Then, whatever your honest advice to your friend would be, that is what you should do.

This may shock some, but I do not have a Facebook acount. I do go on the wife's sometimes, to check on the kid's when they are stationed overseas. When ever I am asked why I do not have a facebook account I always answer, why should I? The eye dr will have samples that he will have your nephew try to see which feel and work better. The cost differs from dr to dr, but for his 1st pair of contacts, I would strongly suggest using the eye dr. After he has the type lenses that work well for him, then you can order them from anywhere. It takes some getting used to contacts and having the correct lenses, not perscription makes a big difference.

I agree, let the eye dr decide along with the kid. This is from someone who cannot see buildings without glasses or contacts.
