  1. It's not anything from the kids. I keep a diligent watch on anything they have, and they aren't allowed in the two rooms where the smells are, and the rooms are not close to each other in the house, so if it's a dead animal it would have to be two different ones. It could be mold or mildew. We had a lot of rain and there were some wet spots on the ceiling. The landlord came over and looked and said it was from loose shingles. The smell has just come about in the last 3 weeks or so. Which just happened to coincide with closing the doors to those rooms more. So my thought was the smell was
  2. I emailed the landlord last week and she is the one that suggested it might just be a dead mouse in the wall. I'll send her another email and check the yard. I found where I think the tank is, and there isn't standing water, but there is what looks to be wet dirt, and we haven't had rain in several days.
  3. Is there an easy way to figure out where the tank is buried? I haven't noticed any standing water in the yard. We have had more than usual rain in the last few months so the ground might be more moist than it had been.
  4. We have two bathrooms that get used at least once a day. The smell is coming from the spare bath in the hall near the water heater, and the smell in the laundry room seems to be closest to the washing machine, but we use that daily. I've never lived where there was a septic and a well, so I wasn't sure if something could be going bad.
  5. Since my daughter started crawling more we have started closing the bathroom door, and the door to the laundry room. First the bathroom started getting an odor, and now the laundry room has an odor. I originally thought the bathroom was smelling because of a dead mouse in the wall, but the laundry room now smells similar, and I doubt we have 2 dead mice. And it happens to coincide with closing those doors more. Could it be something to do with the well water or sewer gas from the septic system? I've got windows open and I'm running all the exhaust fans today hoping maybe a good airing out
  6. What kills me is that there are people that are highly educated that would make great teachers, but can't teach because they don't have an education degree, or because they don't have the right certification. In other words bureaucracy mucks it up again.
  7. To me the bottom line is that the teachers are there to teach the students, to be role models of what is the right thing to do. But out of selfishness and greed, what did they teach their students? That it's ok to do the wrong thing, you don't have to have integrity. Do what is best for you and screw what is the right thing to do.
  8. Bull Cheese. I spent a fortune on my degree, and I can tell you that I am not going to compromise my morals and ethics because I'm worried I might not be able to pay off a student loan. Not to mention many teachers benefited financially from bonuses. Teachers are not special people that should be coddled. They are people doing a job, just like me and everyone else. If I did what they did then I should be fired and in jail for defrauding people. Teachers apparently need to grow a backbone and grown up. These teachers that care so much about their students pushed the students in front of the bus
  9. No one can coerce you into doing something immoral. When you do it, it is on you. Be the whistle blower. Go higher up. No one will look down on you for following your convictions on what is right. If they do, then they have the problem not you. This is what is wrong with the world. We sacrifice what we know is right because we are afraid. Be afraid to not stand up for what is right. Things aren't always black and white, but things are often right and wrong. Cheating like this is wrong on so many levels. They cheated their students, they cheated themselves. I will have no sympathy for anyone wh
  10. Due to the fact that we live in the middle of nowhere that's the only service we can get at the house.
  11. I'd have to look, we're in Verizon 4g, and we pay between $85 - $110, depending on the amount used.
  12. I almost thought that would be a great choice for me until I see you said 500 MB, I use 10-12 GB a month for work.
  13. It wasn't so much that they didn't do anything for Easter, but that they honored someone else on a day that is Holy to a good bit of people.
  14. It really made me want to drop my gmail account and switch to Bing, but sadly I doubt that any technology company is really concerned with how they offend Christians.
  15. That's been done, it was the lady from Oasis, it was called The Sisterhood on TLC, focused on African American churches and Non-Denominational churches. They liked to call themselves First Ladies. The nicest thing I can say is the lady from Oasis seemed like the most normal of the group.
  16. I think what bothered me most is that the sign was RIGHT NEXT TO the childrens play area.
  17. I quit going after they put those snake signs up
  18. I would think maybe with the expansion of Bill Carruth they may be scrapping expansion of 92 through Hiram and rerouting a bypass that would take you from Bill Carruth on 92 over to 92 off of 120? Make sense, but would hurt Hiram business I would think.
  19. Home Depot is headquartered in Atlanta, that's pretty damn local.
  20. We'll be attending church and having a ham dinner afterwards. Skipping sunrise service since we have two little ones.
  21. " Everyone leaves microbes and whatnot. Hell, that's your forte, ain't it,"
  22. We were at Home Depot about a year ago, and as I was getting into my car I noticed some money laying next to the car. I knew it wasn't mine, so I assumed it was from the car next to us. We hadn't been in very long, and when we went in there wasn't a car parked next to us, so I folded the money up and stuck it so it was wedged sticking out behind the side view mirror. Good Karma.
  23. We have a family history of colon cancer, so I get to get mine done at 40 instead of 50...7 more years to go.
  24. Verizon just sent us a replacement jet pack. I tested it after getting the new one. I guess it's somewhat of an improvement.
