  1. Haha! That is EXACTLY what my husband says! And I love okra - any way it's made.
  2. orange juice with crushed ice when I eat eggs they have to be over medium so I can dip my toast in the yolks. (this grosses the hubby out!) And, my favorite - pork n'beans & sliced hot dogs (not pre-made Beanie Weanies) mixed with macaroni and cheese. yummmm
  3. Congrats GLW!! That is great news! I noticed the avatar yesterday and thought this might be the case!
  4. You DO have to be careful anywhere you go. Never had a billing problem, but my pharmacist was on vacation a couple of months ago and his fill-in filled one of my prescriptions. I glanced at it, took it, then had another (different med) filled about three weeks later. My regular pharmacist - who I have been using since I moved here five years ago and love - noticed that his fill-in gave me the wrong med three weeks prior. It came in a very similar package and had a very similar name. He called me immediately to let me know. Luckily there wasn't that big of a difference between the two, and it w
  5. How funny - we both posted at the same time with the same story
  6. HaHa! I had a similar situation... At my 6th grade graduation I had to walk up about 6 steps to get on stage to get an award or something. On the second step I tripped and fell flat UP the stairs, wacking my forhead on the edge of the stage. SOOOOO embarrassed! Then the boy I had the biggest crush on was on the front row and he laughed louder and harder than everyone else.
  7. oh...my...word. Do you ever feel embarrassed FOR someone?? Too funny!
  8. I remember.. you poor thing. But it did make me chuckle.

    120 & ATL Hwy

I was on 120 heading toward 278. I sat in the same place for about 20 mins in front of the used car lot. I could see the ambulance and tow trucks, but then traffic started to move again. By the time I got to the intersection the tow trucks and ambulance were gone. Just cops. They must have hauled right after that. I was getting worried b/c my husband (who always comes home via 278 from John D Sailors) was coming home from Marietta yesterday.

    120 & ATL Hwy

just got through. There was a wreck, but the tow truck was leaving when I went through the intersection. I didn't see any cars involved, but there were several cop cars. The light is out so traffic is being directed. I hope everyone is okay!
  11. does anyone know what's going on? Sitting forever in front of the car lot next to CVS.
  12. Oh my gosh... I think I just threw up a little in my mouth Your poor niece!!
  13. LOL! I just sent this to my retired in-laws! Too funny.
  14. Just found this article: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,537653,00.html Both sites are being attacked...?
  15. I wish I knew about that one before I spent forever & a day in Marietta
  16. I think it's on County Service Drive in Marietta. It runs from Powder Springs Road to Austell Road. Al Bishop Rd. (where the park is) runs into it. That is where I went to get my GA license.
  17. Cedar Plantation in Acworth is beautiful! It's in historic downtown just off of 92. They do package weddings; they handle everything except your minister, photographer, and any reception entertainment.
  18. I certainly will! This is my first time to Key West & flats fishing.
  19. That's a big'un! I wish I were there right now doing just that! I love fishing, deep sea mostly. Hubby and I are going flats fishing in Key West in a couple of weeks.
  20. I live in the Bill Carruth area, but I kept my eye out on my way home yesterday and while out on errands, and will continue to do so. I hope she comes home soon. I have you and your family in my prayers.
  21. We have been fortunate as well. Like the OP, hubby had a feeling and, even though I protested, he pulled our 401Ks and other investments out of the market before it crashed and into a money market account. With the industry he works in and his specific job I think he may have seen something coming, just not this big. I lost my job in March, but I was lucky and only out of work for a month. It was the scariest month ever. While we are both working and have good incomes, we don't, and never did, use credit cards much or live beyond our means. My husband is a money saver. But, we have change
