Oh yea, I'm totally okay with kids being attacked by ducks. Ducks are wild, people aren't bringing their pet ducks and letting them run wild. At least not that I know of. I expect people to be able to control their dogs, not the wild ducks.

I've seen dogs off their leashes many times at Mt. Tabor park. One couple was allowing their two dogs to chase after the ducks and laughing about it the whole time. I reminded them there was a leash law. They didn't care. If I take myself, or my kids to the park, I should be allowed the reasonable expectation that I won't be attacked by a dog. I realize your dog is the nicest dog in the world and he would never bite or attack, but put him on a leash, the rules are plainly stated. Basically, don't be a douche.

I would never drop my 15 year old daughter off at the library. But I can see why people might. Perhaps the kid has schoolwork to do and there is no computer at home. Maybe mom has one or two other kids who need a ride to football practice and can't hang at the library while her kid does school work. There is never a good excuse to leave your kid at the library and not pick him up, but I can see why some parents leave their kids there to begin with. And I'm thinking older teenager when I say that, not little kids.

I agree the punishment is harsh. They shouldn't have allowed her to walk.

Heritage and religion are two totally different things. Maybe by the time she graduates college she will learn to follow rules. If not, she'll have a hell of a time keeping a job.

Yes, my friend and I got into her dads stash when we were 18. I woke up in the hospital the next morning with a broken pelvis and sacrum. Car accident. Lets just say I was young and dumb. And no, I wasn't driving. Still dumb though. I'm lucky to be alive. Haven't tried it since.

I just shared this on my Facebook a few minutes ago. I've seen 2 snakes this year. The first one was crossing the road when a garbage man ran over him on purpose. Made me mad. The second one was crawling along the bottom of the fence in my backyard right toward my son, I didn't realize it until my dog ran and snatched it up. She was protecting her boy. She killed it. It was traumatic. I'm one snake sighting away from needing counseling.

Same here. Although, We have headed to the garage twice this year when Glenn Burns or Flip Spiceland, I can't remember which, told us There was a threat in our immediate area. I even put a football helmet on the boy at one point. For the most part, being married to a landscaper and having to rely on weather predictions often, I'm a wait and see kind of gal.

Thanks to storm chasers meterorologists have a better understanding of the Doppler radar and what to look for. Many storm chasers are in fact meteorologists. Because of storm chasers, lives have been saved. In Moore Ok, residents were given 15 minutes to leave instead of no minutes thanks to storm chasers. RIP.

I went to Kroger yesterday to buy a flank steak to make fajitas this weekend. The cheapest one they had was $18. We're not having fajitas this weekend. I would say try food depot. I have yet to buy steaks from them, they definitely don't look as good as they do at Publix or West Metro but I'm betting their prices are cheaper. Food prices are completely ridiculous. I went to buy a loaf of Sunbeam bread at Publix a few weeks ago, $3.09!!! Um, no.
