Ugh!!!! I hate to say it, but I have seen so many dead turtles this year. I saw a huge one in the middle of the lane on Mt. Tabor road recently. Probably the biggest I've ever seen, and it was dead. the fact that it was in the middle of the lane tells me that whoever did it probably did it on purpose. This was weeks ago and I still can't stop thinking about it. To the OP, I'm very sorry you had to see that. At least you tried. I simply can't comprehend what would possess someone to do something like that. It truly makes me angry.

I just bought 2lbs of boneless skinless chicken at food depot for $4.00. But yea, I agree, food is expensive no matter where you go. -

It's true for me. I only go to Publix when I need a few things, and honestly, I think I'm going to stop doing that. It seems like I can't leave that store without dropping $70 each trip. It's definitely more expensive for the things I buy. a 3 pack of boneless skinless Publix chicken breast for $12? Um, no. Last weekend, I did my grocery shopping at Ingles, just to see how I would do. Not so well. Their meat prices are okay, but other things are very expensive. I spent too much. I went to food depot on Thursday and got enough meat for six meals. I spent $21. For now, I'm sticking with food d -

Beautiful! Can I come live with you? Lots of wind and heavy rain here in new hope. I'm hoping that'll be the worst of it. -
Honestly I want to know.....not trolling, seriously.

Either my brother or dad would do it growing up, and then I married a landscaper. I'm not 100% opposed to doing it, but my husband does such a good job, I could never live up to it. I would hate to bring shame to our yard. -

I plan to apologize when I'm wrong. It just hasn't happened yet. Kidding, I have no problem apologizing to my husband when need be. And I have never mowed a lawn in my life. I'm a lady, dammit. A delicate flower. -
He probably panicked at the sight of the child being swept away and didn't think before he acted. His first thought was for the child, he's a hero. It's a sad story. I too would like to know if there are any fundraisers being planned.

Speaking of McDonalds, It makes me angry when people create two separate lines in the drive-through. You are supposed to wait single file and then split off when you reach the split off point.

Absolutely not.

It made me do the ugly cry. Yes, I follow him. I am forever grateful for his mom and the strength she shows. When I'm having a difficult day with my two year old, who is almost the exact same age as Tripp, I remember how much harder it could be. I forever want to know what is happening with this child. He seems to be doing great. It's awesome.

Truth! I need a week.

Vultures on the roof of neighboring house.......
jennilyn77 replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This brings back memories. About 3 years ago I woke up in the morning to find a dying vulture in my back yard. It was turrible. It was bleeding and flapping around. I had to keep my dogs inside all day. I was pregnant at the time and there was no way I was going anywhere near it. It died shortly after I spotted it. I had to wait for my husband get home from work to dispose of it. Other vultures had already started to eat it, and were circling my yard all day. It was quite an ordeal. I know you all are happy to hear about it. -
Twins! Mine went to his grandma's last Wednesday, I spent the whole day cleaning my entire house. You can't even tell. Lesson learned. I'm never using my "off" day to clean again.

I put them on the belt unless I have more than one.

I have a friend who's stepdad is younger than she is. As for myself, I'm mature when I have to be. I take care of my business, and I'm a good mom but im quite silly otherwise. My daughter, who is 15 is an old soul, she's definitely more mature than I am. She thinks I'm hilarious though, so there's that.

Also, there's no reason to stand so close to the person In front of you in the grocery store check out line. Or any line for that matter. Back off!

We got a notice in the mail a few months ago letting us know that our area was doing the switch over to U-verse and to make arrangements for new equipment to avoid interruption of internet service. We forgot and our Internet was disconnected last week. We finally got it restored after an entire day of work in our home by AT&T. What a nightmare. To make matters much worse, we were told we would be able to keep our old email address. Not so, it got deleted. It's caused a bunch of problems. My husbands business website is connected to our email address, it's printed on all of his business car

I just read it. Sounds awesome. I was planning on grilling some chicken drumsticks tomorrow but now I'm thinking I might use them in this recipe instead.

Have you made it before? Sounds yum! We're having P-dubs country fried steak and gravy, with mashed taters and roasted corn on the side. Oh, and rolls.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Does anyone grocery shop once a month or biweekly?w
jennilyn77 replied to Raider Mom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That's exactly how I make my list. I STILL haven't been to Aldi. I keep forgetting about it. The past three weeks I have shopped at food depot, Kroger, and Ingles. I spent way too much each week. Something's gotta give. Next week, I'm going to Aldi. To the op, Pinterest has so many tips and ideas for menu planning, freezing, stocking up, recipes ect. I'm almost positive you'll find some help there.
