Sirens and helicopters around Nebo-Dallas/Nebo
bigplay replied to DonBrownJr's topic in RECENT TOPICS
FYI the first life flight was for young guy working on his truck in Creekside. No details other than his box truck (heating and air) was up on ramps but something happened and truck fell. Hopefully the guy is ok. -
Sirens and helicopters around Nebo-Dallas/Nebo
bigplay replied to DonBrownJr's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Well if 2+2 still equals 4 then I would guess the BS story about the explosion the other day was actually a drug related explosion and after further review the cops figured that out Of course total guess work here. -
I would highly recommend DiBruno Bros. out of Philly for future cheese purchases. I have used them dozens of times really great stuff. Every time the shipment comes my wife wonders what kind of cheese we are trying this time. They have specific cheeses for wines and beer. In fact I love the beer cheese pack. Of course I am a beer drinker. Also the soft mozzarella roll with pepperoni is the bomb. Really can't say enough. In fact I am overdue for some, thus will be placing an order later today. Their store is at the italian market in Philly. The market s a must see for those visiting Philly. A

Yes, South Beach Grill is a great spot. Right on the beach real cool.

The Alligator Farm is really cool. Yeah the kid loves it, but I enjoy just as much. As people said the shopping in the old town is good. Marineland has changed some over the years, thus make sure their current packages are something you might want to do or see. A restaurant must for me would be Caps on the Water, Vilano Beach. Really cool outside seating, food is great. A little pricey, but just a great place. The old fort in St. Augustine is cool, have not been to Ft. Matanza yet, though that is only 8 miles from my place in Flagler Beach. One more suggestion on food. Th

If you want some real hurricane coverage go to flhurricane.com. Lots of weather geeks. Check out the forecast lounge for up to the minute views on Isaac. Also, people in New Orleans need to be very alert. This one is headed your way.

Cultural change maybe, demographic change yes. Remember in the late 90's and 2000's, Georgia was growing by leaps and bounds, reports from 300-1000 a day. With people moving here from all parts of the country, the type of republican has been changing. The traditional Southern Baptist stranglehold has been shifting to a more moderate Republican. Heck the joke around Atlanta now is similar to Florida, where are you from and the answer, not here. Don't get me wrong the strong conservative beliefs are still strong, but there are simply more forward thinking folks who aren't appalled at the tho

My answer to Kidney Stones. Bud Light on a consistent basis, keeps the internals working without letting those darn stones grow to be a pain. FYI, my answer for the other socially sensitive area, colon = hot peppers, tabasco, horseradish, etc. All things hot.Keep things moving in the body so unwanted things don't have time to settle. Of course there are side effects to all this too. Just ask my wife. For those with Stones, good luck.

PCHS on state's list for 78 worst-performing schools
bigplay replied to mei lan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Good luck PCHS. You are getting a sizable number of kids and families from SPMS who don't care about education. My son is so fed up with his classmates who don't care about school or grades. Heck even his home room teacher acknowledged there is a widespread issue at the school. Without going into detail and raising a big stink, the reason is totally socioeconomic. FYI not racial either. According to my son, white, black, boys, girls, no bias. They simply follow the lead of the parents. It is a tough situation. -
Thanks for helping out. Let's keep the teacher in our thoughts and prayers. She was sick on Friday, thus her mother had to stop by the school to pick up the money. Mom was just awestruck from the support. Happy Holidays to all!

I would like to say Thank You to all the generous people who shop at the Ingles on Dallas Nebo. Over the past four nights, my son and other friends have been collecting donations for their 8th grade Math teacher who has battled through a lot of health issues. The patrons of Ingles donated over $1,500 during these four nights. Just awesome. Again, Thank you so much. And a special thanks to Mr. Bailey the store manager who allowed this to happen. Happy Holidays to all!

Not sure if I am missing something, but schools are not closed tomorrow. At least not yet.

What to get a 5 year old grandaughter for Christmas?
bigplay replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
A day with Grandma, plus Build a Bear workshop in Douglasville. Enjoy! -
Wow, a lot of great ideas already. Italians never ever get tired of great wine, great cheese, great pasta and great balsamic vinegar (the aged variety). Check out DiBruno Brothers online. It is a great cheese house at the Italian Market in Philadelphia specializing in obviously cheeses and italian pasta and meats. I order online all the time. I would suggest their aged asiago and a 15 or 20 year old bottle of balsamic vinegar or some of their pasta. Their pasta cooked per their instructions is absolutely out of this world. Hearty and consistent. Whatever your choice, just remember, it's

Great to have another handsome Michigan fan in the area. Go Blue!

The bunco at Creekside is open to anyone. They are actually having it tonight. $5 entry and with a bar there, drinks can be purchased. Some men actually play too. I think it starts around 7pm.
-
It is probably the man's fantasy choice. Personally I stick with face, legs, then everything else. Always have and always will. Great question.

Hey folks! Today at the Food Lion on Hwy 61 Yard Sale for the GPA Hooks 13u Baseball team Hope to see you there.

Does anyone here have experience with CC consolidation?

I used consumer credit years ago and it worked great. Good Luck! -
Congrats! Never enough Michigan fans in Paulding. Go Blue!

Nope, just a guy who appreciates good bar food and cold beer! BarMaid highly suggested the Pork Wings. MiniPork Chops prepared like Chicken Wings. I guess I have to go back.
