I believe that we have taught our children well. We have a 16yo girl and it is sad to learn that some boys lost interest once they learned it wasn't gonna go anywhere. Of course, what I mean is their intentions were sad. But then she also has two older brothers... and that doesn't hurt. It is a shame she is going through this, but a testament to your mothering and her character that it has turned out as it has. So, look on the bright side of it. Afterall, you can't do much about the jackholes out there.

Unlike the seatbelt law, I can support this new law. An idiot not wearing a seatbelt is not likely to cause me harm. An idiot texting is very likely to cause me harm.. and almost has on a couple of ocassions. Now, as Fox pointed out in another thread, if we can do something about these stupid women who insist on farding while they are driving, we may be getting somehwere.

All of those other sources will be great... when they can be properly developed and utilized. But until we get there, we need oil... our oil. What has happened in the Gulf is terrible, but when was the last disaster like this? And I love how you sidestep the point of my last post.

God, I really hate it when I agree with mrnn. Great post. But you all are doing just what the boe hoped you would do... you are all pissed about their proposed potential cuts. Have any of you noticed that this is the exact same kind of thing we hear any time there is a budget shortfall in any area of a local govt. or school board? The proposed cuts are never in an area that can and should be cut or reduced... and if there is a mention, it is a small amount, as we have seen here with the admin cuts. They can do more there. But how you have played into their hands is that

I am so glad the govt. loves me so much that they pass this law to save my life. I don't know what I would have done otherwise. Probably died. In fact, I don't have a clue how I have lived as long as I have. Dumb luck, I guess.
