I haven't been there, I will have to try it sometime. La Parilla is very close to us, though. So when I have the need for a salsa fix, I don't have far to go. lol
-
My recipe is as follows: Get in the car Drive to La Parilla Sit at a table and wait on them to bring chips and salsa When the waiter comes, ask for some mild salsa, too When he brings it, mix the two -the regular and the mild-together the mild doesn't have enough kick alone, but it does have a lot of cilantro and a fresher taste, so blended is perfect! Get extra to bring home. (hide it from hubby and kids!)

2 months! We met not much before that either... maybe a couple of weeks. And we have been married over 28 years. It was right for us, because I married a wonderful man. I wouldn't want my kids to do what I did though. lol

Call the hospital and tell them you need a copy of your tests, and ask what exactly was abnormal about your bloodwork. That will help the dr you go to decide if further tests need to be done. we went thru several expensive (even with ins) tests last month with my daughter. She was having severe pain in her back, between her shoulder blades and in her sides. The gallbladder scan came back normal, but then Dr. Osborn (GI dr) had her get a hydascan (sp) and ultrasound, and a nuclear medicine test done that tests the emptying of the gallbladder. All that came back was the gallbladder is slightly o

Acworth man arrested for child porn/child exploitation
Squiggle replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I will never, ever understand how someone can find an innocent child to be sexually appealing. It disgust me. One of the good and bad things about the internet is that creeps like this can have access to collect and distribute child pornography, yet, it also gets them caught. At least one got caught this time! -
OMG! Soooooo cute. Your baby is too adorable and the pics are great. Love the style.

And just guess what happened THIS morning? Yes, I was sleeping in a bit, since I was up so late last night. My hubby was up and had the doors open, with the storm doors locked since he was outside in his garage. The curtains are open, the tv is on, and I hear DING! Grrrr! I jumped up from a dead sleep and went into my son's room and peeked out the window. No car in the driveway, so I know it was most likely the church group walking door to door. Another DING! I see a well dressed man and his son, holding pamplets walking down the road. He sees the curtain move. I don't care. I am not answering

The doorbell first thing in the morning, when I am still in bed. Then I say "Oh CRAP!" when I see the Jehovah Witnesses at the door. I don't mean to offend anyone, and I respect them for doing what they think it right-but I hate it when they ring my bell! And they come back every couple of weeks! No matter what I tell them. I never even liked people from my own church coming over unannounced.

burning of Qurans on Sept. 11 by a Florida church
Squiggle replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I took a class on religion when I was younger and in that class the topic of our country being founded on christian principles came up. I might have even been the one to bring it up. lol. So, we did research and from our findings, granted it was precomputer days so we actually had to read books, lol, but it came clear to our class that Jefferson and several other founding fathers practiced deism(sp?)or were freemasons. Their beliefs were very different from what we think of today as christian beliefs. They did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus or that God interfered in our daily lives. -
I love the fun girls! Remember Skippy and Daphne? "hello doll"

Oh no! I am so sorry! Why do such awful things happen. I will certainly keep her and your family in my prayers.

Hey, I love Clinton, he is my favorite president since I have been old enough to know about politics. My families lives were easier and the economy was better during his time in office. And in some ways I understand why he lied. I wouldn't want to have to face my wife and child with my "dirty little secret." And I agree with you, he didn''t join forces with the religious right wingers who spouted the 10 commandments while breaking them and then dogged everyone else that got caught. lol. I was just pointing out that we all "sin"...none of us are perfect. And I wish politics could be decided on

Hey, don't forget Bill Clinton, he loves sex, too! hahaha. I am all for a new party that realizes we are never ALL going to agree on certain issues, BUT, will look out for the interests of the majority of Americans. The ones who pay taxes and go to work everyday and buy homes and are sick and tried of being forgotten while the Repubs and Dems cater to the rich and the poor and the special interests groups on either side. What happened to common sense? Polls show that the majority of legal Americans are tired of illegal immigrants breaking our laws and using our hospital ER's as free health car

My son is eating me out of house and home
Squiggle replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I remember those days! it does get better...they grow up and move out. hahaha! My son came home from school starving, and I packed his lunch everyday because he hated school lunches. When he was in h.s. his friends (the band, haha!) would all come over after school or after they got off from their part time jobs. They would eat ANYTHING! I used to keep bread, jars of pizza sauce and cheese all the time because they could make a pizza out of anything. I never had leftovers. I miss those days. Our grocery bills were ridiculous, but it was a lot of fun and I am glad they all felt comfortable at o -
I lightly dust mine with seasoned flour, no cornmeal usually. We like it without a lot of batter on it. One suggestion, wash before cutting. if you wash afterwards you wind up with a gooey, clumpy mess.

I had my bottom wisdom teeth surgically removed when I was in my early 20's. My upper wisdom teeth hyper extended over the years and I was told several times they needed to come out. But I was a big chicken. I finally got a cavity in one in my 40's and it hurt. BAD. I went to the dentist and he said if i could wait a few minutes he could pull them both out that morning. I did, and was surprised how much easier it was and how easy the recovery was than the bottom ones were. I had to be careful what I ate for a couple of days, but I was able to do anything I wanted the next day. I think I took s

I can be quite cynical in some situations, but very compassionate in others. I don't believe in being a doormat...and I don't give money unless I KNOW how it is going to be spent and approve...but even with the worst of mankind, I can offer up prayer, good vibes, well wishes. It may not be for what they would want. An addict might want me to pray that he doesn't do without his drug of choice, but my prayer would be that they be free of their addictions and learn to love themselves and others in a way that is fulfilling in life. A child molester might pray he doesn't get caught, while I would p

Well, I could give you their names, but considering this is a public forum I would have to ask them first. They are very proud of being republicans. Her Dad was, and she is! Of course, I am betting they aren't the only republicans who live in subsidized housing or that draw foodstamps.
