Gators: They are pretty close to Macon if not there. I have family just down the road in McRae and they have gators in their ponds to keep the beavers and muskrats from ruining their dams. Southern Company lakes are a much better choice than COE lakes. Harding is a great lake. Weiss is a great fishing lake, skiing is somewhat limited and you better learn the lake.
