  1. The area where the schools are is gorgeous.
  2. Good to know. The last "honest" TV repairman charged me $45 to unplug my TV and plug it back up. And then wanted to tell me I should be going to church.
  3. So the fire department works on hydraulic elevators?
  4. Yep. Every time I take a load to the dump I am just eaten alive by that big green envy monster. When that essence of dead dog is wafting through my a/c I'm thinking how lucky these folks are to live nuts to butts with their neighbors and get to smell this wonderful stench. And then I have to go back to my little 50 acre postage stamp in the south Paulding ghetto. Yes sir, I'm jealous alright.
  5. I'm sure there must be a reason I don't know, but if it had been last Friday it could have been a four day weekend.
  6. Wow! And only 2 minutes to get to the county dump. What a place.
  7. It is a beautiful place. Not somewhere I would want to live, but it is pretty. I'll just stay down here in the South Paulding ghetto where I can be in the Target store in less than 5 minutes.
  8. And who decided that was a good place for a school? Is it possible to put something any more in the sticks?
  9. Political races give the people in Paulding County the opportunity to act like a bunch of dumbass kids. I sure hope they didn't get drunk at the fundraiser and head down to the high school to do a little spray painting. Someone should check Paulette's nose for paint residue. That would explain a lot.
  10. I built the walls for the raised bed and the dug a small trench the length of the bed that goes under the planter wall on the lowest side. I filled this trench with gravel and covered the floor with filter fabric. This allows the raised bed to drain. I tacked drain mat to the interior side of the walls also. This enhances the drainage and protects the wood (in my case landscape timbers)from the soil and fertilizers that will cause the wood to rot prematurely. It also keeps the chemicals from the pressure treated wood from contaminating the soil in the planter. As for yearly mainten
  11. So does this mean that Braddock is supporting Heath instead of Carruth? Damn if I'm not running out of people to hate!
  12. They were there. Why not give them today off so they would have a four day weekend? I could have waited until Tuesday for a tag.
  13. And could someone do something about that A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G. RECORDING! Good Grief!!!
  14. And I still say they were being dumbass kids. But they were caught and punished. It's over. What the OP was doing, in a passive aggressive sort of way, was trying to stir the pot or tattle on one of the kids that was working a summer job. Trying to ruin someone's life is a pissy way to go through life. Grow the hell up and act like an adult.
  15. I signed a confidentiality form so I have to limit my comments. But believe me, HP is running second to no one in the technology field. PCs might be where you see their name, but that's so 2005.
  16. I put in applications at Delta for almost a year and one day they called me in for an interview. They wanted to hire me as a flight attendant and I turned them down. For some reason I have always had some kind of a connection with the L-1011 that crashed at DFW back in the 80s. I have always thought that I would have been on that flight if I had accepted that job.
  17. Here's a hint. If you don't KNOW how you feel about it, you need some store bought help. Not pcom help.
  18. There but for the grace of God go I. Don't be a dick.
  19. Apparently the 27,000 have an average income of around $130,000 a year. HP says they will save $3.5 Billion a year. That's a pretty decent salary for someone that's expendable.
  20. So why not make ANY gift illegal? The punishment should be dismissal. One of my clients has this rule. I can't even buy them a Coke are they will be terminated. Just political grandstanding in my opinion.
  21. Geez! I do a fair amount of work for HP and both my neighbors work there. I hope their jobs are safe.
  22. At 6 I knew that I wanted to be a pilot. At 13 I was on track to have my private license on my 16th birthday. Around 15 I lost interest for a number of reasons, the number one reason being Vietnam. By the time I was 18 Vietnam was over and so was my determination to be a commercial pilot. Never lost my love for flying machines.
  23. There is another old saying. You can't legislate common sense.
