  1. I saw your post but didn't respond because I've never heard of mulch being blown in. I had about the same amount of mulch put down by Kelly Landscaping last spring and they were GREAT! They are a local company from Dallas. As for your original question, I guess the posts get moved as the mods see it. I had one recently (for a hospital gown) moved to the same forum within 5 minutes of posting. Just a tip... if you use your "recent topics" button (at the top and bottom of each page) it'll bring up ALL recent posts in all of the obscure forums. Makes it easier to see them all instead of r
  2. Timberlands has a pool. Its a smaller neighborhood so it's pool is not on the scale of Seven Hills or Bentwater (in Acworth, not Dallas).
  3. Whoa! New pie charts. It's going to be a good day now.
  4. I don't think it was a full on steamy type of affair. I think she liked the attention he gave her and she led him on.
  5. "That'll do Pig, that'll do." ~James Cromwell in "Babe" My husband and I use that line all the time with each other. Makes me smile just thinking of it.
  6. I'm just not seeing what is so offensive here. Yeah, I don't care for some of the photos but most of them are nice. I suppose it's all in how you look at them. I'm more offended by the horrific names and the made-up spellings of them.
  7. I'm glad that some are willing to sacrifice time with their families. Otherwise we'd be SOL without a police force, military, fire department, EMS, 911 operators, doctors, surgeons, nurses, etc.
  8. I can't help but wonder why it was so cheap
  9. I'm curious how they manage that. The highest rating with spouse and one child is $3037 a month. Each child thereafter is another $100 or so on top of that. Do they have 50 kids living with them? Or maybe the spouse is a disabled vet as well? Here's the 2012 amounts http://www.military.com/benefits/content/veterans-health-care/va-disability-compensation-rates.html Maybe they get 100% disability AND have a retirement as well? Rank has nothing to do with disability but obviously it is factored in for retirement. Otherwise I do not see how it'd be possible to make $88k in disability from t
  10. John McCain was 100% disabled. There's a huge difference between 100% P&T disabled and 100% unemployable disabled. I'll never bemoan a servicemember for their disability. You can't tell by looking at someone what they have gone through. I don't think they should have to justify anything to anyone. It's rather tacky for someone to question it. But I will NOT give money on a street corner to someone using service related disability as an excuse.
  11. Almost everyone we have known in the military qualifies for hearing loss when rated by the VA. But that doesn't necessarily mean you get money for it. It makes it service connected so if down the road it gets worse, you can get assistance through the VA for it. There is nothing wrong with that.
  12. An endoscopy would NOT rule out Crohn's colitis (Crohn's disease of the colon) which is the most common form of Crohn's. It's usually best just to see a doctor rather than consulting the PCom docs LOL. Either way, hope you get the right answers and get to feeling better (to both the OP and Sugail and her son)
  13. And *that* is why I refuse to give money to anyone claiming they are a wounded veteran. I am sure this was more of an issue in wars of the past and that is extrememly sad. But when I see a 30 or 40 something year old person holding a sign claiming they are a wounded vet, I get angry. There is one in Tallahassee I see everyday, in the same spot, raking in money from people. Granted, depending on the percentage of disability and how many dependents, it might not be that much money. But it's enough to keep 'em off the street.
  14. They all do it. Even Facebook, Amazon, Overstock etc does it. It's nothing new, although I might be creeped out if I got a Pregnancy coupon book.
  15. I make more money by using my credit card rewards program in combination with it's rewards shopping (kind of like Ebates). Last year I made $1500 and I didn't have to do anything.
  16. Yep. The BSers are the ones that won't shut up about what they supposedly saw in combat and brag about their awards. You can hear them a mile away.
  17. Didn't our ancestors come to the United States to get away from Europe? Why do people insist that we should become more like them?!? I love the differences in nationalities and culture. Can't we all be happy with our differences instead of wanting everyone to be one faceless, boring lump of blah?
  18. Organ donation is such an incredible act of selflessness. What a great story! Someone also gave my nephew the gift of a life worth fighting for. I hope more and more people will sign up to become organ donors.
  19. You have to have a colonoscopy to determine what you have, there really is no other way around it. In the meantime, keep yourself on a very bland diet with NO raw or leafy veggies, nuts, etc. If it is Crohn's there is no cure and diet will help keep you in remission but it does not cure anything. What meds did they give you? I'd find a different doctor because they should not be telling you to go to the ER for everything. There isn't much they can do for you at the ER other than give IV fluids and pain management. Unless it gets to the point of a blockage and/or rupture which is obviousl
  20. I see where you are trying to go with this. But just let it go. You CANNOT win. Admit defeat, it's cool. There is no comparison between Whitney being a "Diva" and what Bob Hope did for the troops. None.
