  1. Flat rate boxes are almost ALWAYS the best way to ship. My husband has spent years in Afghanistan so I became quite accustomed to the post office. The large flat rate is $2 off when shipped to an APO/FPO address.
  2. There's a Livingsocial coupon for Sal Grosso's... http://www.livingsocial.com/cities/34/deals/371284-50-to-spend-on-food-and-drink-at-dinner
  3. $170 for 3200 sq ft of house. THANK YOU RAGSDALE! So glad we replaced our two units two years ago, they have already have paid for themselves.
  4. I'm headed to Sal Grosso's Brazilian Steakhouse on Powers Ferry for my burfday. I've never eaten there before but it looks like something different than the regular old food and cheezity atmosphere. I probably won't eat for days afterwards.
  5. I'm glad the humidity is only 20% today. Anyone know what it's supposed to be this weekend?
  6. I've been in 120+ degree heat in the Middle East. If you wear light colored, loose fitting clothes and stay hydrated, it is tolerable. But if it were humid, I'd have dropped over in a second.
  7. I don't know if he does either, but he is absolutely, hands down, by far THE BEST doctor I have ever had. He has such a caring heart and you can tell he loves his job AND his patients.
  8. Felony is Superior Court. They are very helpful so just calling might get you everything you need.
  9. No charges will be filed against the bullies because Ms. Klein has requested they not be charged.
  10. Just call each court and find out. State Court used to keep anything past a certain year at an offsite archives. So you'd have to request it, then wait a couple days for the records. Was it a misdemeanor or felony case?
  11. Don't bother arguing with DallasRed, she's the PCom military expert
  12. Thank you, he looks familiar. Best of luck to you. Dear lawd, I remember being that age and full of pee and vinegar. Hope he realizes his errors and comes back home to your unconditional love.
  13. I think A LOT of us could agree on one thing, but that may leave you out "TP"
  14. I gotta give the politicians some credit. There's no way I could listen/entertain some of these clowns and keep a straight face in every photo. That takes some skeelz.
  15. ANY uncrowded beach is good in my book. I go the beach to relax, not deal with drunks, tweens, and baby boomers trying to relive their youth.
  16. Soooooooooooooo true!!!!!
  17. Yup, me too. Although we just moved to a larger house in a neighboring county. But I'm not afraid to rent out both and move out of the country if we decide. A Marine wife friend of mine is a millionaire now because she wasn't afraid of owning/renting real estate, following her husband's job, and eventually built an empire out of nothing.
  18. Haha! I gave you a + for this post and someone took it away. They must own the same cheesity duds.
  19. And damnit, I NEVER had good Chinese food when I lived in the Boston area! Guess I missed out on that.
  20. Most that I know got married as E2's and had kids soon after. The majority are teachers and nurses or in the medical field. Then again, I have a good friend with 5 kids who has never worked a day in her life. It is all choices, but I don't think people join the military so their wives can stay at home with the kids. But I did not mean to turn this into a military vs. civilian thing. My point was that people certainly CAN move where the jobs are regardless of marital status and children. It's all do-able if you are willing to do it.
  21. The only difference between people from the North and those from the South...Yanks say mean sheeze to your face, and Southerners say it when you walk away (Bless y'er heart). That's what I've learned being from Chicago, living in MA, with a husband from Maine and choosing to live and retire in GA. Zip codes and the Mason Dixon line does NOT dictate temperament.
  22. People in the military do it everyday. I did it for ten years before my husband retired. In fact, my job is what kept us in Atl when he retired. It's doable.
