If it WERE legal for me to shoot my guns, but I lived in a S/D, I seriously doubt I would, because quite frankly, guns are loud as hell. "Annoying" would be a no-brainer. But, if my neighbors were okay with it, then I guess I would. In fact, I would probably ask them if they wanted to come over and shoot with me. Then we could all have ourselves a good time for maybe a half hour or so. Whether something is legal or not, I think respect and courtesy towards your neighbors should come first and foremost. I mean, we DO all have to live together in the same spot, so it's always in the best interes

This is true. Unfortunately, my S/D is just inside the Hiram limits, or I could shoot my guns too. And the guns aint dangerous. It's WHO is shooting them that makes it safe or not.

I have no idea, but it's good to see you here again!

Sounds like a good time was had. Mine was very low key. I made a big dinner and my daughter came to visit me for a while. But I enjoyed a nice peaceful evening for a change of pace. I think I'm just getting old!

Very quiet on the home front over here. I made a huge pot of spaghetti, and it's just me and my cat hanging out, so far. -
Any tips or home remedies for beating the flu?

pretty much most over the counter meds are fine, but the key is LOTS OF WATER!!! And I mean LOTS! -
Marsha Burns, wife of legendary drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Burns, passed away yesterday. Please send out prayers for Bob. They had a life long, and loving marriage for as long as I can remember. We'll miss you, Marsha.

Anytime I need to go to a department store, it's always been the K-Mart in Hiram, simply because of the lack of people there. Anything to avoid the Hell-Mart in Hiram.

Absolutely, they are! They rake in a lot of money too. If you google the topic, you'll be amazed at how high the percentage of youths incarcerated jump, once the facility starts up. Almost all of them are non-violent crimes, too.

I really like, and agree with your post! The local media is rampantly looking for anything they can sell. That's one thing that has changed significantly over the years, while another thing has NOT changed over the years- kids do dumb sheeze, just like we did, and always will. Kids may be "smarter" than we were at our age, but their ability to put themselves in someone else's shoes before they do something stupid hasn't changed one single bit. Kids will be kids. Only now, the media reporter community has grown exponentially, upsetting the balance between news and sensationalism. Other factors

Maybe you landed on a bad day or something. They won a ton of competitions, had several write ups in the papers, etc. Any Smyrna native could tell you it was THE place for ribs. That's a bummer.....maybe yo should give it one more shot. I can't imagine anyone not loving them, however, I have been there on days when things just wasn't "right" like they should be. I guess all good places have "off days" when perhaps the staff was lacking, or the cook just wasn't up to snuff on that particular day. In fact, I do remember one night when my wife went to pick some ribs up there and brought them home

Thanks, and same to you and yours. I have learned over the years that a home made, personalized, card means a lot to people. Maybe because it's not HallMark doing all the talking, and you can tailor it specifically to the one you are making it for. I've got a nice template I created in AutoCad, so the rest is just me slipping into my poetic phase.

Yeah, same here....about 9 or 10 years, I reckon. I hardly ever go in that area either, anymore. But, I sure do miss those ribs!!

As a kid, it was always magical. With a family, and two daughters, it slowly became more work than it was fun. This year I am broke. While that's not necessarily a good thing, it did relieve me of a lot of shopping and drudgery that comes with it. In fact, although I was only able to buy a couple of things for my kids, I can feel a real warmth and anticipation like I haven't felt in many years. With no money, I "made" things, including home made cards. I can feel that "magic" once again, probably because I've had more time to reflect on what really matters, rather than how many people I can bu

As far as "eating out" ribs go, I'll always be a diehard fan of spare ribs from Old South. But Smyrna's just too fer and snakey of a drive for me.

I've only got about two more weeks left, before I close down temporarily, to re-open in a closer location. I'm running a special on basic tune-ups on all mowers, and other equipment for the next two weeks, in the meantime. 20% off labor!! Give me a call over the next two weeks, if you're ready to get that mower smoothed out and ready for the Spring season! Thanks, Glenn 678-315-8794 Carrollton, GA Pick up and delivery still available. (10% off for the next two weeks)!!

I guess I swing both ways. I love to drive my 1989 Toyota Celica (while they were still made in Japan) with over 300K on the original engine. However, I also loved driving my 1965 Ford Fairlane for over 20 years, before selling it to my best friend, who still drives it today. That said, I'm quite fond of my 2003 club cab, 8 ft bed, Ford F150. My 1995 Buick is still purring like a kitten too. Truth be told, I am a stickler about maintaining my vehicles. Staying on top of most cars and trucks is the best medicine for a long life, and a few hundred, thousand miles.

Lately, and at other times during my trials with small engine repair, I have been an independant contractor for AutoCad services. In fact, the job I have been working on in Palmetto....I'm still I.C. status. I would love to help this guy re-build his business back into what it used to be. I fully intend to...no matter what happens. Determination is a crucial factor in making things happen.

This is a primary part to being successful. Luckily, I have (who I consider) the best CPA in the bizz. I'll just be letting him handle the quarterly's so I can keep on working, and not worry about it. Thanks to everyone else, and their small bizz stories. I think the whole community can learn a thing or two from this. I absolutely do!

I'll happily look into that, unless you can find it quicker than I can. Should you be able to, I'd be the first one to bring it up to them, in person. I'm a believer in friends, like that.

I hate to hear this. But, I hope a window opens up where this one closed!!
