  1. I've got a cold, but it aint stoppin' me from seeing Mr. Dean tonight! Count me in! (and I'm bringing my sweetie too!)
  2. For your outdoor equipment repairs, give us a call! Glenn 678-315-8794 Or visit our website for more information ---->HERE
  3. No argument there! The things kids have today that parents can use as "discipline" are mind-boggling!
  4. I tend to agree with this. The EASY part for a parent is the loving and deep involvement in their lives. This comes naturally to most all parents. The HARD part of being a parent is letting go, so that their kid can learn to do for themselves. The more you love your kid, the harder this part is. That's why it's often not seen as much as it used to be. Parents today seem less capable of trusting their adult kids, and frequently smother them, while usually making their kids more dependent on them, whereas, the goal is to make them less dependent on them. Moreover, in a capitalist, free market co
  5. I firmly believe in helping my daughter get on her respective monetary feet at the age of 18 (which she is, soon to be 19), but I stop short of EVER talking to her employ for her. In my eyes, this would make her look inept to her employer. She is doing quite well at a local auto parts store. I helped her be a good candidate for that job by teaching her about cars, and letting her spend 6 months turning wrenches with me in my shop on lawn mowers. To me, that's the best way to get her a good job. The thought of going with her to her interview never crossed my mind, nor would it ever. She has a n
  6. Most people won't understand it unless they've either been in it, or very close to someone who has. Fame takes a major toll on people, and unfortunately, they tend to deal with the excessive attention in the wrong way. Being famous will make you lots of money, but usually at the cost of your privacy. Privacy is a lot more important than most people realize- without it, you can easily screw up, and you're in a non-stop state of heightened paranoia. The paparazzi are purely evil entities who prey on other people's success. There is no difference in the addiction part, granted. But the o
  7. This is why I NEVER download anything I'm not familiar with, especially search engine add-on's and stuff. Now, I have clicked on sites that I use frequently that got hacked and were sending out a virus, but Avast has stopped them every time. 6 years and counting with NO viruses!
  8. When you've got 7 or 8 hundred friends on there it's kinda hard to notice, unless it's someone you talk to more often, in which case, I've never had the problem. I have had some people delete their accounts because of problems, but they usually get a new back up shortly. IF someone did un-friend me, I doubt I'd lose any sleep over it. If it was someone who was a close friend, I could always call them to see what's up. Otherwise, no big deal.
  9. Oh man, that bites!! My band has an OUTDOOR gig this Sat. nite! Brrrrr!!
  10. I used to have a bona-fide opinion on this, but as someone mentioned earlier, with the high DIVORCE rate in this country, who really gives a crap anymore? Marriage apparently means very little to the modern American anyway, so why even bother over the sexes who unite?
  11. I agree. We could start by going back to growing EDIBLE corn instead of defrauding the unknowing public about ethanol. That is, first of all blowing the myths out of the water, then start changing the rest.
  12. I remain a champion of hydro and wind energy, but since this topic was brought up, I thought it would be good to post this link that delves into all of the latest tech advances in energy - LINK I would also add that it is more advantageous to look into OTHER counties than the USA. Energy conservation and alternatives are much more on the minds of them than they are here at home. (They are in a position to act, a lot more than we are).
  13. Having answered this in the other thread, here's what I have coming up for those who might be interested- -The Scott's S/P'd I told you about, -A 2-stroke Snapper, adjustable speed S/P'd walk behind -2 excellent condition gas weed trimmers -1 chainsaw -at least 2 standard, no frills push mowers These are either done or on my list of rebuilds coming up within the next weeks or two. Additional equipment, I post for sale upon completion. Just keep your eyes posted to PCOM in the coming days.
  14. I'll be on it first thing tomorrow. Fortunately for you (and bad for me), business still hasn't taken off yet, so I've got time, if nothing else right now.
  15. Just sold an awesome one today. I have one more, but need to either re-work the head and valves, or trade out engines. I'll know tomorrow what I need to do, and how much the mower will be going for. It's a front wheel drive Scott's walk behind. Shouldn't be too expensive, but I don't use the word "cheap" since all my resales are fully reconditioned to last a long time and a 30 day conditional warranty. I'll PM you tomorrow afternoon when I get all of this together. Hopefully I can set you up with something affordable, yet something that will last you several seasons as well. Glenn 678-31
  16. I'm trying to get things jump started this year, so drop me a line if you need any repairs on such equipment. "At your place" repairs can be made in many cases. Call for details- Glenn 678-315-8794
  17. While I certainly do agree with that, it's a shame that in the past the big 3 auto lobbies have been successful in stymieing such ideas with "hush money" and some less ethical measures, as well. There are some GREAT ideas out there for bio-fuels, but most, if not all, won't see the light of day until the powers that be allow it. Instead, we get major JOKES approved, such as ethanol, which uses more crude to produce than it replaces.
  18. Good afternoon! It's been a great day so far. Think I might go fishing for the rest of it!
  19. I'm not very enthusiastic about the roadway idea, but with other impervious, tar-based areas that receive no traffic (rooftops, for example), I think that's a pretty good idea.
  20. yeah, it was! Very beautiful!!
  21. D.C. Why am I not surprised! Thank you for the article.
  22. I still remember a decent snow in 1983 in APRIL! All the girls in school were tanned and back from Spring break! You never know in Gawja!
  23. I guess it varies. As long as you have access to each vehicle's components, all you really need is a good multi-meter to check most devices. I don't have any certification in automotive, but I've been successful in diagnosing probably 98% of components simply using the internet (for specs) and a meter to check them with. Of course, you also need the codes first.
  24. Finding a GOOD mechanic is the trick. Since a lean code can mean several things, some mech's just start replacing things in the system along those lines. A GOOD mechanic can TEST those devices and replace just the one causing the problem.
  25. I can vouch for this man...he can cook like nobody's business!!!
