Well, I know you need ins. to get a tag anyway. I guess you mean people who are driving other people's cars? (which are insured, only by the owner)

I'm cool with that though...is it a 24 hour day for a buck? I could get the movie in the afternoon, watch it that night and have it back by noon the next day!! Also...does this include Blue Ray flix?

While I am skeered cheezeless of LSD, I have seen its effects on certain people....moving them beyond barriers that are instilled within us. Job's is one of those people....I know people who were hopeless alcoholics, then one hit of acid...they lost the craving, plus they did not become acid heads. LSD is still a limited knowledge drug. I have seen it cure the worst ailments in life, and I have seen it turn people into zombies who never returned (Sid Barret, for example). It's a crap shoot, and I have seen as much good come from it as bad. I just know that I (personally) am terrified of someth

I just love days like this when I can fix something
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks!! I think that people should be treated fair. If you can't be honest and try to save someone a buck, then why bother?? Sure, I need to make a living, but not a fortune!! Just a living. I KNOW that I have a great service to offer people next season, and I am going overboard on trying to make this a reality next year. We''l just have to see what happens, and I'll work the music circuit like never before this year. All a man can do it TRY, and hope that things will work out. -

As for when....season usually starts with TILLER time, in mid Feb, so it will be a while. I'm really pushing my duet-trio band thing right now, so I'll just have to see how it goes. She came down tonight and we really worked HARD!!! But the cool thing is that it's not like work at all when you've got someone with so much talent, and a great voice, as well as years of experience. I am playing at Mia's tomorrow night with a friend named Leon....He's got a funk and R&B thing going, so I hope to have her come down to sing a few, then on Sunday I am playing at The Tavern in Acworth, off Bells F -
You are certainly welcome, and please convey my "Happy Birthday" wishes to him!! You are obviously a good wife, and that makes him a blessed man!!

I had a couple of things come into dad's shop today. The customer's were at their wit's end, since everywhere they took the equipment, they were told it couldn't be fixed. I fixed BOTH pieces of equipment before the day was over!! One was told "no-way", and other guys was told, "yeah, but it would cost more than they paid for the machine"....that one only cost them $40 to get it purring like a kitty again!! I'm certainly not dissing any shops in P.C. or Carrol County, but it sure does feel good to fix something that everyone else has pushed away as a no-go. I love days like this!! I

My friend likes that one too. Netflix not only went up in price, but the selection diminished significantly. I've heard about the REDBOX thing, but I'm sure exactly what it is. I can borrow pretty much anything from neighbors to watch, but I like the documentaries and TV shows you can get from Netflix. I don't have much money nor time to watch much TV, but with the cold season coming up I wanted to get some ideas, since I know I'll be watching more when it gets cold outside. Thanks for all the ideas, and I'm still checking in to this thread when I get a chance. Appreciate yall!

Another helpful mower tip from your local mower guy
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in Business NEWS
BTW, folks...if you are looking into buying a new mower next year, you might want to skim thru this page. I'm not saying anything personally, but I think the link will give you an idea about what NOT to buy. LINK -
They just lost over 40% of their shares and there's not a decent movie to be found. I'm looking for a better alternative......ideas?? I've got the Blue Ray player, and there are several different options on there, but I've never tried anything but Net Flix, which used to be good. Y'all shoot me some ideas on what's good for the money. Thanks!

Another helpful mower tip from your local mower guy

Drain the gas out. and keep it covered with a tarp, if that's all you've got. Check the tire pressure every so often, as mower tires tend to leak..so it won't leak down enough to break the bead. Once the bead has broken you'll need some tricks and high air pressure to get it back right, plus cleaning the rim really well so it won't get junk stuck around it- which will make it leak regularly. Problem is, draining all the gas out....you really need to unscrew the solenoid or bolt from the bottom of the carb to make sure all the gas it out. I can do that on-site for anyone who needs it done for $ -
Lately, I have had a slew of Cub Cadet riding mowers come into my dad's shop. They all have the same problem- worn out spindles (the part that hold the blades on the deck and the pulleys on top where the belt is. Cub's have grease fittings on the spindle housing....you should grease them EVERY year, at the least. Other brands have these grease fittings as well, although not all of them do, but please check and look for them. Replacing spindles are EXpensive!!! Most people do not know to check for grease fittings and to grease them. Left un-greased, spindles will bite the dust in less than 2 ye

I'm sorry....your avatar is very distracting!!!

Let us all bow to the queen. I'm fully adept in Mac's as they are the best OS for music, art, etc. Fact is, though, XP still remains a mainstay in most large businesses. When something works perfect, smart companies tend to stick with it. And don't get me wrong...I fully welcome your debates!!! They are good and informative.

Thank you...I'm glad someone can see the irony in this....and the inevitable flaws that come with it. (However, are they really inevitable?? Can something be done about it?) Therein, lies a question that will perplex us till the end of time. True that. Hence, my point....something is amiss.

As was I...research not needed. Not even sure what your point is. To further illustrate my point, may I remind everyone that Steve was FIRED from his own damned company??? How screwed up is that? Sure, he was later rehired (to his OWN company)....something is wrong with that picture.
-
You bring up a point I would like to touch on.....Steve wasn't as bizz savvy as Gates was. IMO, Steve was the Tesla of our time, while Gates, was the Edison, and adept capitalist who made all the money from another man's ideas.(research Gates, as he basically stole ideas from Xerox and other companies). If you look back in history at many industrial developments, you will almost ALWAYS find a man who came up with the idea, only to have a capitalist snatch his dreams away.....money wise. Personally, I think that sucks, and it's the ONLY SINGLE PROBLEM I have with unabated capitalism. I've seen

I love Alice too....He's Da Man!!! But these testicl....I mean tests are driving me nuts!!! No pun intended.... well, maybe "some" pun intended.

Hmmmm...that's interesting, but not surprising, since people will do anything to make a buck. Only been in 2 wrecks all my life, and it was not my fault either time- and out of both wrecks the @#$%^* didn't have insurance. Luckily I have uninsured motorist insurance. How the heck do these people even get a license???
-
I've done been smacked, punched, kicked in the @#%^'z, etc. so many times that I'm pretty immune by now. But...pcom has been really STRANGE today with this new what ever it is...testing, 1, 2, 3,.....is this thing on????
-
Yeah....wow!! I just saw this. The true visionary of so much technology. My heart just dropped when I saw the headline.

Mine was almost $60!!! But those days are about over. With just me living here alone, my bills will drop dramatically.

INCANDESENT LIGHT BULBS.......IF THE GOVERNMENT IS INVOLVED
subby1 replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Well, I'm a BAD person!! I like 100 watt bulbs in my shop, so I can see. Gas bulbs don't work with the dimmer design in my mancave, so that's a no go too. Flouro bulbs are great in some applications, but people like me are getting old, and we need bright light...especially when it doesn't oscillate at 60 Hz per sec. Now, take that into consideration when the new fact in my life is that the ONLY lights on are the ones I need in a specific locale. This already shows up on my light bill...if you'd simply turn off every bulb in the house you don't need, then you're already far surpassing conse
