While the best way to get mistletoe has always been to shoot it outa the tree, I think the guy's a bit wacked out to have done this at a mall with lots of people around. My opinion? His cheese is starting to slide off his cracker! (and this is DOUGLAS COUNTY we're talking about...where imprisonment is a financially sound private institution.) He was just asking for it. And he got it too. Now, Earl Lee, probably would have let it go, but them days be over!!

Hi folks. If things continue on their current course, I will be opening up business around the first of January. Services include all mechanical work, welding, etc. on small engines, including most lawn mowers, chainsaws, blowers, weed trimmers, generators, etc. All makes of 2 and 4 cycle engine powered equipment, up to 25 HP. I will post my opening as soon as everything is in place, and all permits, etc. have been granted. Service will also include pick-up/delivery, and on site repairs. My master mechanic (with over 27 years experience) and I look forward to serving the West Atlan

That's how I can tell I'm back home again! But then again, there's the 'Douglas County Gauntlet" I drive through, where turn signals do not exist, and people jump over 2 lanes and drive like insane fools. What's up with that??

Luckily, the last time I had to punch a time clock was well over 10 years ago. I'm fortunate to have a job right now. It's still a mess out there! I sure didn't take long to get used to the drive though (I'm in Palmetto). Against traffic both ways, so it only takes me about 40 mins each way. It's the longest trip I've ever had to make to work and back, but hey, there's always a desk waiting on me when I get there!

I don;t have the time I used to, to get on here. But this morning, it just kept timing out. I think it had a cold, maybe??? Possible the flu, or some sort of virus...no wait...NEVER use that last word about a website!!!

I understand that. They are what they are. I was merely expressing my adoration for her ability to make people feel less depressed, despite what the current events actually are. This would be construed as 'masking" the truth, were it most anyone else. With her, I know what her goal is....and I think she hits it well. Some people really need to hear GOOD things, once in a while. In other words, it would be better to contibute to the conversation, rather than hit on a moot point as such we've discussed, thus far.

What's your favorite TV show of the 90's and 2000's?

Herman's Head was an awesome series for a while. You can barely find any info on the darned thing now. It was short-lived, but I LOVED that show!! Does anyone else remember that? Of course, Hank Azaria went on to bigger and better things (including a main-stay voice on The Simpsons)....oh yeah, and Yeardly Smith as Lisa. And the fat dude that was Herman's "macho nature" went on to appear in Armageddon. But, I thought Herman's Head was a fresh idea on something that could have went over the top. Unfortunately, the writing went downhill, and the show was cancelled before having a chance to get i -
I don't watch football, but I'm glad to hear you had a great day!! Mine was a bit rough, but the evening more than made up for it, thanks to some good friends and some good food, good company, and a fine Steinway grand piano. It's those little things for me. I hope your weekend remains on a good track!!

Great example. I would rather keep one good customer to any given 4 others who are cheap, bitchy, and don't pay on time. In the past week, I've had TWO people call me about engine rebuilding, who live in Alpharetta and Norcross. That speaks volumes, if you ask me. I hate to say it, but incompitance is everywhere you look these days. Calls from this far away proves that to me.

Personally, I couldn't care less....me and mine are armed to the teeth. Just ONE break-in (attempt) is all it would take for the thief to no longer possess the power to ever rob again...since they would be 6 ft. under ground. I'm too old to want to fight, and I'm too smart to shoot only to maim someone. It's light's out for 'em if they come a'prowling over this way. That's not a threat, it's a fact. And I wouldn't lose a minute's sleep over it....not one, single minute. IMO, I simply made our community a little safer by eradicating a scum bag. One less problem to worry with. Here's them s

If LPPT would allow to interject here....she KNOWS the score. She has no illusions as to what is what. She also has a gift for keeping this knowledge in her mind, without feeling the constant urge so many others do, to smear it across the board, especially in the ONE month of the year, when GOOD NEWS is probably the best medicine for everyone. The lady is highly intelligent, but also possesses the "people skills" necessary to perhaps stop 1, 2 maybe 3 people from pulling the trugger on themselves. Personally, I think that's a Godsend.....but maybe I'm only saying this because I was there mysel

Excellent point. I would think that's the only way they could arrive at a number like that. I don't recall any households receiving surveys on whether they gave up looking for work or not. This is why so many people LOVE LPPT!!! She's always trying to infuse a ray of sunshine into an otherwise dim situation. I love people like that! Keep up your postive spins, honey!!

I would have rather NOT got a modification, because my interest rate was already dirt low. What people may nor understand, is that when (in my case) you get the modificaton approved, it's for the full value of your house. In other words, you have to start all over again. So, I lost some 5 years worth of equity on my home afer the mod got approved. However, it still beats living in the streets. 'm not really worried about "being in the same situation again" because I have a full time job, and I am doing vey well at it. I never missed a payment in my life until I got laid off, so that's about 26

I may just come down myself, since my kids aint coming over until around 9:00. Teenagers!!

Y'all take this any way you want to...I tried one time VERY HARD to get a loan mod, and it flopped. On this past one, I barely even tried, and bam...there it went! Go figure!
-
Mine went PERFECT!!! I had to make a 3 month trial on payments, on time. Then they sent me the package, I had to sign on 3 spots, Fed Ex it back to them, then within one week, it was done!! House payment dropped almost $400/mo (I have an escrow account) and locked in at 4.00% for the life of the loan. Sweet!!

You know I think the world of you too. We just have differing opinions on the subject, that's all. When I think about all the nut-case drivers I wind up behind, I think there's plenty enough for cops to find and catch. I do believe in law and order....we are a nation of laws, in fact. The only difference is that I believe that before enforcement takes place, there should be a reason. Road blocks infringe on that premise....IMO. I have driven home on countless nights and saw people swerving all over the place...but no cops around. If I can find that many, I think they could too, without causing

My router is about 5 yrs old, and my switch (hub) is about 12 years old. The switch is almost indestructible, but the router is not. I just unplug mine and blow it out about every 2 months so it can breathe good. I am on my second router, but it was an upgrade....the older one is still working away for a friend who bought it from me. Dust clogs em up and then they will fry...just keep em cleaned out.

LOL!!!! Yeah, me too, but DAYYYUM!!!! That's way too much ass!!

While driving on the roads are stated as a privilege, those roads were still built with YOUR tax dollars. Ya see, before the automobile came along, all forms of transportation were a RIGHT to each of us. They start out small, then they take away more and more, gradually (which, by a lot of posts I read on here) no one notices just how many "rights" they have taken away. So, let's see.....WE pay for the roads, but they are not ours?? God forbid, we gave all of that money to the gooberment to do with as they see fit, huh? Sure they are our's...only with many stipulations, archaic & redundant

Therein lies the TRUTH of the matter!! My insurance agent was been a good friend of mine (like a 2nd dad) since I was 16 years old. It's part of his job to rely on statistics as to how to price someone's policy. Anyway, he's told me several times that the all-mighty CELL PHONE was the biggest killer on the road today. Unfortunately, there's no real way for the insurance companies to employ this into their pricing methods. But, it still tells a story that most people don't know. He said that approximately a whopping 80% of accidents lately have been caused by idiots talking on their phones, whi

With all due respect...spiders spin webs to do the exact same thing. It starts out as an inconvenience, but then it eventually goes into law, and rights are further stripped from us. Why am I the only one who can see this? And yes....I am home, safely....did not drive, all because of 2 beers. That's bullcheeze.

Maybe a cop can chime in on that one, but in all my years of playing clubs, every owner has told me they have some sort of law against cops sitting next to bars and waiting on people. When I played up in Jasper, the popo's started doing this to the owner's club. He went outside and video taped them...took the tapes to court and won the law suit. Since it infringed on his business, he got a pretty hefty settlement too. People need to understand that this country is not supposed to be a police state, like old Germany was.

The only thing more troubling to me than the road blocks are how many people are so quick to give up their rights in favor of a false sense of security. Americans live in so much fear these days, they'd give up almost anything to feel safe. I think it was Thomas Jefferson who really hammered out a good statement about that....something like, "those who would give up their freedoms for safety, deserve neither one"....his words, not mine. But, I'd say I have to agree with him. I guess I'll need to leave early tonight to go play, so I'll have the extra time to sit in traffic at a road block.
