  1. You have to pay for this?????? Renouncing US citizenship is about to get a lot more expensive. The record numbers of Americans who have renounced their U.S. citizenship since January 2009 did so at the bargain-basement cost of $450, a subsidized fee that the State Department plans to raise sharply this week as more and more people sever their ties with the United States. Officials say the new pricetag of $2,350 will “capture the real, unsubsidized cost of providing this service” at a time when escalating demand has put new strain on consular resources. The government does not ma
  2. Why make a public post if you do not want any responses? Seems the prudent thing would be to keep it to yourself if you do not want anyone to know. Since the original post was edited do not know if they said that they lost a family member or not. You have to make assumptions if the OP does not give all the facts.
  3. You really should so some research. Pillowtex was already failing before Purdue even stepped foot in the door. But it is always easier to just blame the last guy. BTW, not a Purdue fan. Just prefer the truth over half lies.
  4. Exactly. Not quit the piller of society like the family is trying to make him out to be.
  5. I don't believe he was planning on going to college, show me a registration form and acceptance letter I might believe it. And what person graduates HS at the end of July?
  6. it's actually 5-13 times which means they have no idea how many times he was actually tased and they are just making numbers up. Also there is nothing about cause of death and they will have a hard time actually proving with a reasonable doubt that it was the tasing that caused his death. He was not a fit man so the running away could very well caused his death. But that is why the file a civil suit, less burden of proof is required. The city will settle. But of course the bottom line is this was a innocent man who ran from the police and the police were wrong to chase and tase him
  7. So what you are saying is they do the same thing every other business does. I see what you did there.
  8. It's the new trend. Pretty much every show is going to have to have a gay/lesbian/transgender/other type of character or someone will complain.

  10. Smart move on BKs part. But if you believed the retoric you would say that corporations do not pay their "fair" share anyway. And yes we would still tax BKs profits on sales in the US even though their HQ is in Canada. If I remember correctly we are the only country that does that.
  11. Looks like they missed their start date.
  12. He wasn't a very good instructor. First he should never have allowed a 9 yr old to handle an Uzi. Second he should never have been in the position to get shot in the first place. Third see first comment.
  13. Since no one else has said it I will, how in the heck did the shooters get in the house in the middle of the night in the first place? Seems to me the adult of the house should be charged also for failing to protect their child.
  14. Seriously? You think cops are going to go out and shoot an innocent person just to get a 3 week paid vacation? The problem with all these videos of cops supposably shooting "innocent" people is you do not know what happened prior to what you see in the video and what information the police were given. Obivously they had been told that this guy had a knife and they suspected he was grabbing for the knife that he was reported to have. Yes it turned out they were wrong but what if he did have a knife? Should they wait till he stabs them with it? What would you do in a situation where
  15. yes, they are just stating what is true, he has no record. Not having a criminal record does not mean your not a criminal, just means you have not gotten caught yet.
  16. I am still trying to figure out how you swallow something and not know what it was.
  17. Where do you want to do your training? at home? gym? other?
  18. Holder says he understands mistrust of police Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that he understands why many black Americans distrust the police as he made a one-day swing through the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Mo., where a black teenager was fatally shot by a white police officer almost two weeks earlier. "I understand that mistrust," Holder said. "I am the attorney general of the United States. But I am also a black man." The attorney general then described how he was stopped twice on the New Jersey Turnpike and accused of speeding. Police searched his car, going through
