Yet their smallest race track holds more spectators then a NFL/MLB stadium. -

I thought the best part was when the #2 accidentally rear ended Tony Stewart so he put it in reverse and smoked the tires backing up into BradK. -

Time to call a cease fire in the "War on Drugs"
HardwareDJ replied to kp527's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One of many reasons why they need to legalize drugs. Obviously making them illegal does not stop people from doing them. Making them legal is not going to suddenly make everyone start using drugs. Yes there will be a slight upraise in drug usage because of experimental use but for the most part people who do not currently do drugs are not suddenly going to start just because they are made legal. The biggest reason to make drugs legal is because it takes the profit out of them. The reason there is so much gang violence is because they are fighting over drug territory. If you take the p -

Smart, very smart. -
I have no complaints with the service. I only paid $40 for the visit when most places I called charged twice that much. I do agree that he should have gone ahead and tested it all the way to the source but who would have thought the switch was bad?? I take it as a lesson learned plus I learned a little more about things around the house which will help me down the road plus I got to use my volt meter which had been sitting the garage unopened for 3 years so its a win win.
-
Interesting, I will have to call and see what the criteria is. I was stationed at 2 places that had wide spread use of chemicals in training and other uses. Anyone stationed in Panama was potentially exposed to Agent Orange and Ft McClellan AL was/is a toxic waste dump.

It was a HVAC company. They would have charged me 178$ to replace the circuit breaker but I told the guy I could do it myself figuring it should not be to difficult. It was late Friday night and I did not think to have him test the circuit breaker to confirm that was the issue, but at the time it made since because the unit was not getting power so the obvious thing would be the circuit breaker. I got on youtube to see how to replace the breaker and the video I watched the guy tested the breaker with a voltmeter which reminded me that I had a volt meter in the garage that I bought sev

Unlocking a cell phone is typically done with either a code provided from the carrier or there is some 3rd party software that can do it. Since it is not illegal to unlock your mobile phone most carriers will provide you with the code provided the phone is not under any type of contract. From Apple. iPhone: About unlocking You can unlock your iPhone for use with different carriers. Start the process to unlock your iPhone: See if your carrier offers unlocking. Only your carrier can unlock your iPhone. Contact your carrier and request an unlock. You might need to meet requirements

Had to replace the switch. The screw where you normally attach the wire was broken off so no way to reattach it. New switch in power turned back on and I have cool air again. Whoot Whoot. Mission Accomplished.
-
I think I found the issue. There is a light switch next to the unit which controls the power. That tested good so I thought well maybe the switch is broken or something and as soon as I took the cover off I could see one of the screws were you attach the black wires to was broken off and laying in the bottom of the case. I am going to replace the switch and see what happens.

The cover was on but I did see the switch when I took it off. I remembered that there is also a fuse on the control board, had one go out at my last place of residence, it is just a 5 amp same as cars so I am going to replace that first. It does not look blown but it is cheapest option. Also going to retest the wires at the furnace because there is a on/off switch next to the furnace and I am not sure if he turned it off before he tested or turned it off afterwards but I do remember him asking me if I wanted him to leave it on or off.

After last winters snow debacle the state will shut down as soon as the first snow flake hits the ground.

So I had someone come out and look at my HVAC issue last night. First thing he did was check the furnace to see if it was getting power since it did not work at all, no air or heat which makes sense, always check the obvious. He said it was not getting power which meant either the curcuit breaker was off or bad. We checked the curcuit breaker and it was on so his diagnosis was a bad curcuit breaker since that is were the power feeds straight to the furnace, makes sense to me. Replacing a curcuit breaker is pretty easy so I said I could do it instead of paying them almost $200 to do somet

EMC security. Less then $20 a month for a wireless system with cellular backup because I bought the equipment. My previous house was not pre-wired for an alarm so I went with a wireless system. The nice thing about the wireless system is you can take it with you when you move, which I did. Then all I had to do was pay to have it setup in the new house.

Did not switch the thermostat. I guess I could do that with the downstairs one that still works. I did take the cover off and check the cables and they are all connected and the battery is good. Filters would not stop it from working but I change them every 3 months. I think that Betts Heating & Air is out of business. Nothing has been posted on their FB page in a year and their website is down. To bad I always got good service from him. I think it was basically a 1 man company since the same guy always came out and their address is a residential location.
