  1. Question, does he have his own permanent crew or hires out locally at the Home Depot? (day labors) I ask because I hired a local landscaper a few years back to do my back yard, fill dirt, irrigation system and sod, it took them a week and every day it seemed he had a different Mexican crew with him, that is when they bothered to show up. Then they only used 3.5 of the 4 pallets of sod he charged me for and took the leftover with them. I have some projects I might just hire out for.
  2. The spousal unit says I needed to get some of those, I told her I did find without her........I mean them.
  3. The dollar shave club is not worth a dollar. I figured what the heck let me try it out. Tried the 4 blade razor and the 2 blade, both are super cheap and do not do a very good job. Not even for manscaping. They give you 4 razors a month so that should tell you how cheap they are if they are not expecting them to last more then a week. One wipe charlies, NOT unless you fold it over a few times but it does give you a nice aloe smell. Only decent product is the shave butter but at the price they charge it is not worth it. I can get a can of Edge cheaper and lasts longer. Plus th
  4. Sounds like a shady deal to me. I heard Canadian drugs are good and cheap.
  5. I saw his name on the ballot and my first thought was "who is that?".
  6. Got it. You need high technology to protect yourself from accidentally speeding while you willingly break the law by talking on your cell phone whilst driving.
  7. What other reason is there to have a radar detector if you do not plan to "intentionally break the law"?
  8. Thanks for proving my point. The police sit at the bottom of the hill on 278 because they know they can catch people speeding down the hill. Exactly as I said they did. They target the same areas because that is where they know they can get people. They are not going to sit somewhere where they can not catch people. I take County Line Rd in Cobb County everyday when I take my kid to school. The speed limit is 35 and I know that every few weeks there is going to be a CobbPD sitting at the same spot by the Methodist Church because people speed on that road all the time. (I always set
  9. I am still trying to figure out the guys "piled on the couch drinking beer slapping each other on the back" part. How do they catch ebola since it is transmitted via bodily fluids? No wait, don't want to know.
  10. Vonage for probably 8 years no issues. I don't know about the other internet services but with Vonage you can assign the amount of bandwidth you want assigned to your phone. So if there is a clarity issue you just bump up the bandwidth to a setting that gives you good clarity. They also have some pretty good if not free overseas calling plans. I think we pay around $30 a month and that is unlimited domestic/Canada and unlimited overseas calls because the spousal unit calls the Philippines all the time. Like 4000+ minutes a month all the time. (Vonage complained because she used so many of
  11. Yup, it sure is a nice racket that they can get that many people to speed. The problem with the AJC reporting and the totals provided are not broken down into categories so there is no way to prove that Hiram is using speed traps to generate their revenue in fines because the information is reported out of context. But what do you expect from the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation. As a former LE person I can tell you with some clarity that police always target certain areas for speeding and traffic violations because that is where the people are speeding and committing traffic violation
  12. I turned the heat on in the house this morning. Surprisingly the spousal unit did not have to tell me to do it first.
  13. This is why I always like Zell Miller and why he is the disdain of the Democratic party. He does not just blindly follow the party line. He picks the candidates that he thinks would be the best. Of course his choices are not always right but you have to respect him for making his own choices and not just doing what the party tells him to do. I met him a while back when he wrote his book "Corps Values: Everything You Need to Know I Learned In the Marines." He is actually a very humble person.
  14. Maybe it is just me but shouldn't the airports in Africa do the ebola screening? Not much good if a person with ebola can fly to the US before it is discovered that they have ebola. But then I can see the benefit of flying to the US if you have ebola since you will get better medical care then you would in Africa and probably not have to pay for it either.
  15. Don't take it personally. If you are a good employee most employers feel a sense of betrayal when you put in a notice so they unconsciously take it out on you by giving you the cold shoulder. Just keep your head down and work out your notice.
  16. That's how I interpret the directions too. To the OP, sorry you broke your arm, broken bones sux just ask my kid. He has broken both his arms, compound fractures each time. Personally I have never broken any bones yet in almost a half century.
  17. So the Democratic leaders in 2003 who said Saddam had WMD's where misquoted?
  18. That the same residences who go speeding through the neighborhood are the same people who yell at you to slow down when you drive past them in the morning waiting for the school bus with their kids and your going 5 miles under the posted speed limit for the subdivision.
  19. We all know that Saddam had WMDs because the Democrats said he did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUeIrUsApuE
  20. Careful you are treading on dangerous grounds.
  21. You guys are to funny. No seriously. Never said or implied that you should "go along to get along" nor was I "armchair quarterbacking" and I don't see the postman in any foxhole any time soon as he is most likely a anti war person. What I did say was that at some point in your fight you have to face reality. I can understand people wanting to fight till the end but my guess is people will know when the "end" is near. Carry on.
  22. Maybe it is just me but if you live under threat of foreclosure wouldn't it be prudent to either do a short sale or just move out? Why wait till the Sheriff has to come evict you and all your stuff ends up on your front lawn for your neighbors to sort through? I get that these people were fighting the County/developers for taking of some of their land but at some point you have to accept your fate and move on. I know people might have an emotional bond with their house but they knew that the bank was going to come take the house so why wait till they come with force?
