  1. And this is why they have compliant rules for transplants. An innocent person would still be alive today if they had followed the rules and not bended to media pressure. Matter of fact 2 people would still be alive today had they followed their own rules and guidelines. I am sure the person who would have gotten the heart would have made a better life for themselves. Of course IMHO this all falls back to the parents. They allowed their child who was given a second change to become a thug and this is what they get for it. They will have to live with their bad parenting choices for the rest
  2. OK here goes. If you have a business that is open to the public then you should have to do business with anyone who walks through your front doors regardless of your personal beliefs. Your personal beliefs are exactly that, personal, they should not be injected into your business. You opened a business to provide a service to the public you can not pick and chose which part of the public you want to do business with. You need to keep your personal beliefs to yourself and for your own individual household and not force your beliefs on another person just because that person does not have th
  3. I guess it might be cushy for regular prison standards. Most death row inmates are housed in single cells and have limited outside access. Sort of like a half basketball court with a fence all around it.
  4. I don't see the issue. Just because you are automatically registered to vote does not mean you have to vote. You can still decide not to vote so you are not losing any of your personal rights.
  5. "The plan has an annual deductible of $250 per individual and $750 for a family. For a doctor’s office visit, the charge is $20. For most other services, patients will pay 10 percent of the cost until they reach the out-of-pocket limit of $1,500 for an individual and $4,500 for a family." And they are complaining about that?????? I would LOVE to have their plan.
  6. Funny how we can go CSI on a persons FB page and figure out what is going on.
  7. Thanks, apparently I have been doing it wrong all these years.
  8. It doesn't actually say they are struggling. That was some creative thinking by the OP. They just want to be paid what they feel is fair based on what other people are making.
  9. The problem as I see it is that the requirements to get federal handouts is very low. Practically anyone with a moderate income can qualify for some sort of federal handout so people figure why not take it. Plus there is a lot of people who at one time might have needed the federal handout but currently do not need it but since there is no real accountability they just keep on taking the "free" money. Let's not even get into the fact that if the government is going to "give" people money what incentive do they have to go out and better themselves so they don't have to rely on the governme
  10. So they yanked the jerk and drive campaign?
  11. This is what bothers me. People thinking he is dead on account of a handful of loose cigarettes. He is dead because he did not follow the police instructions and resisted arrest. He made the concious desision to disobey the police and in reality the only person to blame for is death is himself. All he had to do was do what the police told him to do, plain and simple. I am not saying that what the police did was right because as always we do not know the complete story nor were we there but if you make a decision to not comply with LE then I guess you get your just reward.
  12. Of course if the guy just followed the police instructions he would still be alive today to commit more crimes. I love how the people always want to place the blame on the police for just doing their job. This guy made the concious decision to ignore the police and resist. He now has to live with the decision that he made.
  13. This guy is an asshat. And with his attitude I am glad he got his church burnt down. Now he can feel the pain that all the other innocent people who had their business burnted to the ground and robbed of all their merchandise for no good reason. You can't protest against so called police brutality with your own violence. It makes you no better then them and just fuels the racial bias that you claim you want to get rid of.
  14. A modicum of respect would have saved MIcheal Brown and Travon Martins lives.
  15. Most places as long as they are all parked in the driveway and not on the grass or in the street they don't care. And serviceable of course. But your mileage might vary. Usually they allow on street parking for a few days like for guests and such but no long term.
  16. That is because no one cares about them till they enforce their rules. I have no issues with having an HOA and they play a good part in preserving property values which is their main function as well as services if you live in a swim/tennis community. They come to the forefront of the news when they do stupid stuff like in the original post. Or when they enforce their flag rules on veterans which as a veteran I totally agree with. The problem comes when they start to selectivaly enforce the rules.
  17. He is the Chief of Police, why the heck is he out making traffic stops in th first place? Not really part of his current job description.
  18. Wow how did I miss this in the news? What I wonder is what do these women have to gain by coming forward now? It sounds like the accusers are all very successful in their own careers so why dredge up something that may or may not have happened over 40 years ago? Do they not realize that their lives will also fall under the microscope?
  19. It's not really a question of people not abiding by the rules as the majority of the people do. The real issue is the members of the HOA using their so called power to take personal revenge against someone they do not like or taking the rules literally or misinturpreting them like in the orignal post. Or the HOA not having any common sense. The last place I live with an HOA I was renting the house. The owner did not pay the dues which meant we could not use the pool. The dues were $325. I offered the HOA $150 to allow us to use the pool for the summer (3 months) and they declined and said
  20. Funny thing is that is how it usually goes. People who hate HOAs live in a neighborhood with one wishing they did not and people without one wish they had one. The thing to do if you do not like how your HOA is ran is the become the HOA president yourself. Problem is most people who complain about an HOA is ran would not be willing to run it. Which just leaves the idiots who want the control and power that comes with an HOA.
  21. Human beings are safe till they become a direct threat to someone, problem is by then it's usually too late. See what I did there.
