There is no such thing as an unloaded gun. Words to LIVE by. Many of you will remember that a firearms training officer shot and killed a student a few years ago in Austell. Anyone is liable to make a mistake. I sincerely hope that this person is alright. Death is a harsh penalty for a moments loss of concentration.

Just fine from Hiram south. 92, Ridge, Bethyl Church, Brownsville, Sweetwater Church, Cave Spring, Bill Caruth, are all OK. I saw very small patches of ice on some side roads around noon, but they had been traveled, and looked OK if you are careful.

Hundreds and hundreds of black birds in yard

We had the same thing, it actually sounded like the wind when they came in for a landing. We had maybe 1000 of them. I thought that they were crows, they were so big. -
Yup. Anytime they use the term "rare but sometimes fatal" they get my undivided attention.

Is your homeowner's insurance paid for out of escrow? Are you paying PMI? Is your's a variable rate mortgage or fixed rate? There are many reasons that your mortgage payment might go up. You can certainly ask for and expect to receive a full accounting from your mortgage company. They may even have all the payment and escrow information available online.

I take Crestor, and my Doctor asks me every year if I am experiencing any muscle problems. I don't know for a fact that they can occur later, but his question certainly gave me that impression. If I were you, I would definitely call my doctor Monday morning if you have no other explanation for the pain.

A good friend of mine with the Bear patrol missed this one. His first miss in many years. He was reminded by his wife that she could use his going to this one as proof of his insanity in any possible divorce proceeding. He took the hint. ETA, he did make the Pioneer Monkey Patrol sign though and send that up in his stead.

You win on the snow, but was there black ice below the snow? BTW cool dogs, looks like you have a very nice place there. I've always liked southern Kentucky.

Thank him when he gets home. We really do appreciate his going out there in these conditions.

If it's bad in the morning, and it will be. Stay home and stay safe. If your presence is so important to your boss that he wants you to risk your life to get there, he isn't paying you enough. pray for those who must be out in this to keep the rest of us safe from ourselves.

How about these?

Navteq is the supplier of mapping information to most GPS companies. They have a bug report process available on their website, but be prepared to wait about 2 years for them to check it out and make corrections. That's how long it took us to show up correctly on Google and Mapquest. The did actually e-mail us back two years after we made the report to tell us that they had made the corrections.

Beautiful big flakes south of Hiram.

ES I agree that warming events do not all necessarily have the same cause. There are several well known and documented ways that these types of changes can occur, two of which occurred at about the time that the Dinosaurs and 70% of the earth's species quickly disappeared from the planet. No such alternate explanation exists for many of the historical warming periods, including the well documented global MWP. That makes it impossible for the warmists to responsibly dismiss these periods and their divergence from the hypothesis. They can not realistically claim that these periods do not fit

Now that would be a storm worth staying in bed for!

Who remembers the weather in Atlanta 37 years ago today? Where were you and what were you doing? I was at Georgia Tech, which could produce their own heat and minimal power at the time. We went to the movies at South Dekalb Mall at 9 PM like a bunch of idiots and came out to a Winter Wonderland of over 3 inches of ice. We let some air out of the tires and drove back to campus at 10 MPH dodging other cars all the way. We wound up with 8 people in a dorm room meant for 2 for nearly 2 weeks.

Atlanta, January 7th 1973, 37 years ago today, 4 inches of ice. Good Times.

According to the radar at least, it is already to Rome, but it's probably Virga right now.

Just a reminder that this coming Saturday, January 9th is the day to recycle your Christmas Tree at any Home Depot in metro Atlanta.
