  1. Although I don't agree with what happened in our neighborhood it might help you out. One of our neighbors had a dog that was barking (not bad at all IMO) and another neighbor complained. Finally they tape recorded the dog barking for 3 minutes straight, which apparently was enough for animal control to take the dog away. It was horrible when it happened as the kids whose dog it was parents were splitting up and my daughter absolutely loved dogs (still does) and it broke her heart as well. To make her feel better we went to visit the dog at the shelter for a few days and then it was adop
  2. So, I went back and re-watched the beginning of episode one. I noticed Emily/Amanda had sand on her hand and discreetly brushes it off. I also noticed that she seemed genuinely upset or teary-eyed when it all started going down. Also, it looked like Jack found the body but he didn't have gloves on so I'm not sure he's the shooter. Does anyone think the Dad could still be alive or is that a bit of a stretch?
  3. Good to know. We had thought about going to see if they had any good auto deals but when we got the insurance check yesterday we were told to wait 24 hours before cashing it. I still wanted to go to see if it would be worth it next time we were vehicle shopping but we didn't make it. I too would like to hear what they had and what kind of deals there were to be had (on the autos).
  4. Thanks, that is where I am leaning. I have seen a couple good deals out there but they tend to go fast. Hopefully we can find something soon.
  5. I thought I saw you behind the bleachers smoking a pipe toward the end of the game~lol. I'm sure it was something or someone else but I could feel your stress. By the way does anyone know what was going on with the life flight copter? One story I heard was that someone fell off the back of the visitor bleachers and another was a heart attack? Whatever it was I hope they are okay.
  6. Thanks, that is so cool! Now if only the thread I had actually received some neg's on hadn't been deleted. That would be fun to check out. I kept going from positive to even to positive so I know some negs were thrown in there.
  7. We haven't had any problems with them since we began with them in Jan. But it does seem like a lot of people on here do. I guess we have good drivers. I would say we are lucky but luck has nothing to do with it. If you pay for a service you should get it period. In the past we have had Waste, W.A.D.E. and BLD and received good service from all of them (we only switched to get a better deal and this last time to get a better price plus recycling which at the time was not being offered by BLD). FWIW, I think I liked BLD the best~~just because it seems more small town and personal.
  8. lol~~ I just checked out the thing where you can see if anyone gave you a negative and I accidentally gave myself one. I picked an older post that I thought I might have received both on but that was currently at +1.
  9. We are looking for a new vehicle and are considering these based on what I've read and researched on the internet. 2002 or 2003 Toyota Sienna 2004 Chrysler Town and Coutry If you have one could you tell me what your opinions are? What the most expensive expenses have been (and at about what mileage they were incurred)? What kind of gas mileage you get, Would you buy it again? Advantages and disadvantages. Etc....... I know Toyotas are supposed to last longer (250,000 plus miles) but haven't found any info yet on how many miles the Town and County will go on average. As
  10. I haven't called into the bus barn about a driver for years and that was for someone that was speeding. I have to say though you couldn't pay me enough to drive a bus. If I was ever forced into it I would probably drive straight down the middle of the road~lol. By the way~~this week was Bus Driver Appreciation Week~~I hope you all loved on your bus drivers!
  11. I was also wondering how late these usually go? Has anyone ever gone to one of these? We are looking for a van and had planned to spend the morning looking at a couple of them on the other side of Atlanta but we can certainly put that off a day if there are good deals to be had. I used to go to jewelry auctions about 20 years ago and sometimes you could get a good deal but a lot of the time people would end up spending too much IMO.
  12. I don't have a problem with them raising the cost of stamps. $0.45 is pretty dang cheap if you ask me. It costs me more than thatjust to drive to Wal-mart.
  13. I saw the video and it made me sick. I am not a sue happy kind of person and I know accidents happen but this was no accident. The person may have done it by accident but it was not accident after they stopped and then ran over her with the back tires. I hope that the family is able to track down every vehicle that ran her over and sue them. I also hope that those people that walked right by her or rode their bikes around her have a hard time sleeping for a while. Sick, sick, sick and oh so very sad.
  14. I agree, I also wondered if maybe someone saw the mother smashed or drinking (again?) and thought the baby would be better off without her and took her. I think I've seen that on Law and Order~~I know, crazy but it had to based on some case right? I sure hope baby Lisa is safe.
  15. Haven't watched last nights episode but wanted to add my two cents about whether it should go beyond one season. I am not a fan of plots like this being dragged out. I really hope the wrap up this story and if they are blessed with a second season start a new plot line involving one or more of the characters from this one. I really hated how Prison Break dragged on. It was a great show but I stopped watching after a couple seasons because I couldn't see an end in sight. I LOVED 24 and think something like that would be good, although she can't just go on season after season seeking
  16. Hey, hey now. Let's all calm down. I like the X-factor but we are talking about the Tigers here so..... Go Detroit!!
  17. Just watched it on Hulu. I don't know what to think. Dylan was sure nekkid a lot though. I do hope the hubby is the daddy. I don't like that teenage boy at all. When the Dad first saw the maid as young I thought it was a flashback. Whoever did the casting did an excellent job.
  18. Alright, I tracked down a few scores. Paulding Co 20 Alexander 41 (in the 4th) Pope 42 North 21 (final) Hiram 6 Sprayberry 34 (final)
  19. Where is everyone? Surely someone has some scores. I'd love to hear how North is doing if anyone knows the score.
  20. Did a search for it and I think the Pilot is being replayed on Wed. at 12:01 am. Unfortunately we don't get that channel as part of our package. Oh well.
  21. Totally forgot all about that show. What channel was it on and when? Oh well, maybe I can catch it online. The commercials for it drew me in but with soooo much going on lately I just forgot.
  22. I must have missed the part where she pulled the "all my friends" crap. She asked, her mom said she was too young and the daughter replied that three of her friends had them. No crap there. It also appears that the daughter isn't pushing the issue either. I think what the OP has decided is the best thing for her to do. Pick your battles. This may be a big one for some people but not for others. If it is a phase she will get over it and if it isn't and the OP feels she is responsible enough and the daughter works a little extra harder in school to make it a possibility that's great.
  23. It depends on the teacher. My son has a teacher and if you get below an 80 you can retake/redo but the highest grade you can get is an 80. My youngest son's teacher lets anyone who gets below a 95 correct their mistakes for half credit. My oldest had a couple teachers in MS who would let anyone who got below an 80 retake for full credit. I didn't agree with this. I felt like the students who got say a 90 should have the same opportunity to get a higher grade. It just didn't seem right to me that a student could get an 82, retake the test and get a 94 but the kid who got an 88 or
  24. We watched it the first week but only caught part of last weeks. My husband and suprisingly my 5th grade son are really into it. We now have it set on Season pass so hopefully won't miss any more. I love the actress that plays the lead. She was on Brothers and Sisters and is doing great playing a totally different roll. I liked Harpers Island as well but never did get to see the whole series~~did it end well or was it disappointing?
  25. Me!! I do!! Does this mean I get a Mayberry? I love Mayberries.
