Well...he was also distressed over 'possible expulsion'. That is an appropriate punishment and should be a logical potential consequence to anyone thinking of committing that crime on school grounds. It is sad when any 15 year old takes their own life however this still was a self created situation.
-
So basically they put together a good case, made an arrest, secured an indictment, and it is proceeding along as expected. I don't understand the outrage unless you truly expected him to be found guilty at arraignment without a trial.
-
A: Did you even read what I wrote? B: LE catches crimes in the act all the time through routine patrol and by being dispatched to incidents in progress.

Only on a second offense are they considered an adult. From you own link:

It means a bunch of people including this UK news site, are wrong about the sex offender list. On that note the expulsion consequence should have been a common sense as possible punishment.
-
The most ignored fact of this entire incident is Alabama does not place juveniles on the sex offender registry. Its an outrage over a non-event.

Sounds like the biggest problem here is people not understanding both legal process the Constitutional requirements of our judicial system. The Constitution grants those accused of a crime be set bail in all but the most serious crimes. It also grants the accused the right to a pre-trial review of the facts by Grand Jury and an impartial trial by a jury of their peers. We do not find people guilty of crimes because they make an admission on scene or even if the crime is witnessed by a LEO and 50 other people. Our system does not and has never worked that way. An arrest is not punishmen

Reasons for Veteran Suicides?
Ugadawgs98 replied to DomesticViolenceByProxy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
After he serves his time for punishment he will be released to try again. Men all over this world support their children after divorce without all the drama some bring on them self. -
Probably more serious than that. Depending on the proximity, if the act would cause a reasonable person to believe they were in danger it becomes an assault. Because the threat was with a weapon capable of death or serious injury it would upgrade to aggravated assault which is an upper end felony.
-
That is not what they are looking for. They are looking for a state issued BC that matches with a state issued ID to confirm identity. Same state of different states isn't an issue. I was referring to matching names on the BC and the state photo ID.

Easy...both have an obligation to a child they share. Obviously the mother is shouldering hers because he was not paying. -

He still has to support the children he fathered. Hard times does not release our obligations. -
No passport needed on a closed loop cruise to the Caribbean area. All that is needed is a state issued birth certificate with a state seal and a matching state issued ID. I have done it many times.
-
I hope you are truly ready for those consequences. As said before, your threat to use deadly force is only justified in defense of habitation, stopping a forcible felony or protecting a person from death or great bodily harm.

Official release on airline service at Paulding's Silver Comet field
Ugadawgs98 replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
The people of Paulding have never been 'on record' against an airport. The vote which I voted against, was to use taxpayer money to fund it. I believed then it should be funded by other means which the FAA money eventually solved. To say an prosperous airport won't be anything but positive for this community is ludicrous. It should be obvious especially now, a bedroom community struggles to support itself in all but the strongest economies. We need business to take the burden off the property owners. -
Commission confronts issues of trust and secrecy
Ugadawgs98 replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I think the big concern should be a Commissioner had no clue about the pending business in his district that deserves his attention. No one should hold his have to hold his hand to get him to do his job. -
The vote was if it should be funded solely through taxes and not if there was to ever be an airport. I voted no not because I didn't want an airport but because I believed the tax burden was not worth it. The FAA money solved that issue. Quite frankly it would be stupid for this community not to have an airport when you look at what doors it opens long term. Just look at every example around us.
-
You will never make everyone happy. A functioning airport can do nothing but good for this county. We need a business tax base to take some of the load of the shoulders of the residents. There was never a vote for or against an airport as is being misstated, only if the taxpayers would fund it with tax increases. That funding wasn't an issue when the FAA money was granted.

I don't get these 'morning shows'. If I want to listen to talk then I find a talk station that discusses things other than high school level fluff. If I want to listen to music then I find one that plays music.

These shows may have been recorded months ago, she was a regular on her sons shows. The air date does not matter.

Plenty of places other than the military regulate appearance which obviously includes such things as visible tattoos. Just because you have the 'freedom' to do something does not mean other people or organizations have to be accepting of it. You also have the freedom to grow a beard, the military makes you shave. You have the freedom to wear wrinkled clothes, the military ensures they will be pressed. You have the freedom to dye your hair blue, the military will not allow it. Somebody should be outraged at those loses of freedom while they are at it.

He was actually driving on North Ave and was sitting at a red light not far from APD headquarters on Ponce de Leon.

Active Shooter at US Navy Yard In Washington DC
Ugadawgs98 replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The shooter accessed the base with a valid access card. No mystery how he got in. The base security does conduct random vehicle searches for those with access cards but he was not selected so it was easy for him to simply transport the shotgun in. His access card would not get him into the building where the shootings took place so he shot the guards to gain access. That is about all you can do. No way they can search every car entering the base. For example, there are 3000 workers just in the one building where the shootings took place. -
Big deal. Al Jazeera started as a regional outlet following the closure of a BBC regional broadcast. It has evolved into a successful international outlet not focused on the Middle East. I have watched several programs and must say it is refreshing to see the news without the political spin from all the US outlets.
