  1. How many day porters on staff during the day? Because every thing you posted would be an unsafe environment for students and teachers.
  2. Boils down to managing. If you have a problem with the current crew contract and terrible conditions, the person that has ownership of the responsibility of the said contract should be contacted
  3. I see your concerns, and I do know some folks that work for the BOE strictly to provide health insurance for their family. But in reality I would assume other than being a day porter (custodian) to stock up the restrooms and clean as needed, the vast majority of housekeeping (vacuum, mopping, dusting, empty trash cans, etc.) comes from a contracted company, not county employees. Think about it, doubtful any county employee is cleaning the schools, courthouse, admin bldg, or any other county building. It's contracted out to avoid having to pay benefits. Sad, but the truth
  4. PFFT. to your knowledge, has Propeller even at least once even satisfied ANY contractual agreement??????????
  5. Has Propeller to date even paid anything or any proof of investment to the Airport?
  6. Thanks. I was actually looking for a response from mrnn. That is who I directed my post to
  7. Lost at where you claim the City of Atlanta and Delta foots the bills???? Please back up and support with facts. Seriously, stand tall and back your posting. I will await for your response. Additionally, do you KNOW how much taxpayer money has been spent on a couple of ventures?? Yeah, let me bring up bond. Millions on the airport, just a few on the studio. PLEASE, do your math and report back.
  8. Actually I know someone that owned a private plane in PC, and I was told is was more financially feasible to home it in Fulton Co (CB) than when PC open up. A couple of reasons.....taxes, and let's not forget the oversight of not having any jet fuel tanks to refuel any planes. Just a simple oversight I assume for operating a GA airport!!!!!
  9. Actually just being honest. I just believe the owner of this site should have used a long term commerce that has been paying him for many years for their ads. It just hit me wrong when Pat asked for options as for his car repairs. I doubt he needs your ass to defend him silly.
  10. OK. Aside from what you have purchased or won through a news group. Your choice to ask where to get your vehicle repaired at. Guess what struck me, once you said what brand of vehicle it was and asking on this forum where to take it. That sorta floored me as you have had a loyal local commerce member for over 10 years. Revenue for you and pcom. What happened to the past management of pcom asking members to support the commerce members that addy on pcom???????????
  11. Glad you are fine, that could have been very dangerous if driving even at a low speed. But I have to ask, why did you not contact one of your most loyal commerce advertiser? Since I can remember when I signed up on pcom years ago, they have had an addy and banner. They do service the brand of vehicle you mentioned. Seriously, why not support the commerce members that support this site?
  12. It's a shame. Jamie was damn good for economic development for Paulding. IMO, too bad he didn't get the resources and backing he needed to bring in companies to employ folks because of the "cart before the horse" ventures were top priority.
  13. Billions of so called revenue, minus the State tax credits. Do the math. It can be a positive win for many, others not. It's a weird tax issue across the board in many States. North Carolina decided to let their lucrative film incentives "sunset" 12/31/2014. Although Georgia will reap the benefit, I would not be investing in a movie studio in GA anytime soon.
  14. Actually Panda, it can be dull and boring for certain folks, but on the other side quite interesting for some that venture out and are interested in productions. Additionally the film industry is clean and does employ a vast arena of talent (background, crew, cast, suppliers, caterers, ETC). Almost going on two years now, I have made a good living on numerous productions here in Wilmington, NC. The Georgia film industry is kicking ass across the country...............and employs a huge range of folks. Might be dull to you and others, but it gives a paycheck to many.
  15. am not a current property owner paying taxes since moving out of State, but in the pass never liked the Good Ole Boy Network in PC. No doubt it continues as you have two brothers on many boards running the county. WTF!!!@!!
  16. LMAO. Why does the county pay someone to manage a movie studio and says in print his "lack of experience"? Seriously, if this had been filmed just inside the movie studio, have at it under the terms of the contract. Now, out in public at another venue is a different story. The contract to film at the Airport should have verbiage to not include likeness of any signage or logo associated with the Airport. I do alot of filming in my area. Any where, either the studio or on location, the owner or representative is onsite at all times. Don't blame VH-1, seems as if they had free range of the j
  17. Went way back old fashion way................cash only. Forget debit, credit, or checks.
  18. They have been broadcasting the Aerial America for years now. Such an interesting, informative show for both young and old. Smithsonian Channel no doubt can deliver a very neat interesting production. I'll add it's a very clean and informative....very educational, for any age group.
  19. I have not read much posts concerning this topic. BUT, HWY 92 in Hiram. DOT did some things, and purchased and such. What has been done? A Church moved to a new location? Seriously, it will take forever for the State DOT to do something. But in our county admin, depends.
  20. What poor reporting. Wonder which Musketeer contacted CBS to do a news story? Hell even the reporter said Calvins house had been broken into after it became knowledge of commercializing the airport. Umm, wasn't that like 10 months ago?????
  21. I don't live in fear, rather a positive. Good for you.
  22. You are correct unless things have changed. When I lived there my area of the subdivision was not in the city limits, but a couple of streets over was where a city council member lived (go figure). Same with Creekside across from my sub. A portion of it was annexed for the sole purpose that could get a liquor license for the clubhouse. Now from my sub on Nebo all the way up to 92 was not in the city limits. It's annex map is soo butchered up because Hiram went after beer and alcohol revenues and would annex those areas. Hell Home Depot in Hiram is not in the City limits
  23. Guess my opinion and a discussion would be...........he has every right to speak out, and was well prepared to stand up in front of elected and appointed folks. (as mentioned previously).
  24. Yeah, my take on watching the video. KV was well prepared with documents to support his questions. He had done his homework and had the budget documents in hand at the podium. Then the shame and bad attitude appeared from a county taxpayer funded salary employee.
