Gotta agree. I believe Tuesday's results were a HUGE wake up call -
New Hurdles for the Paulding Airport to clear for commercial service ?
rockster replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Tacky? IMO it was definitely a "low blow" with the comment months ago. I kinda took it as some folks were starting the ah chit, and sweating in the dead of winter syndrome as the dealings were being revealed. Since then alot more has come out not in the favor of those in charge to commercialize the airport. Honestly, I believe there are many more "illegitimate" issues to come forth as to how the airport was handled -
So let's get down to brass tacks - election fallout

Respectfully, I believe the people in Paulding County were "forced" into a GENERAL AVIATION airport that had been voted down twice. Hey, it was free money and would not cost a dime to the locals, but would create many local jobs!!! How has that worked out??? Do the work and see how much $$$$$$ has been spent from taxpayers. Heck, I think the movie studio is almost at a $7 million debt the taxpayers are paying for. As for your last question, I honestly believe no as for the vote(keep in mind people voted NO in the past for a Airport). But then again if it had been presented open and honest -

Umm, where have you been??? Put it on the ballot. I believe that a majority of folks that are either against commercializing and/or just DO NOT like the way it was handled (there is a hell of lot to that) would welcome it to be on a ballot..............not underhanded deal. Seriously, you have to admit IF the folks opposing the commercial airport deal did not stand up and question some things it would be business as usual. It took getting the legalities in Court to maybe consider things, which has been done. I honestly believe just at this point what is in the legal system at this point is -
There is going to be a referendum on the airport????????????????????

Surpip, I agree. I lived in PC for a few years and got involved in the community, as well as how the "good ole boy" network ran. I truly believe current issues concerning the airport and some other things have really encouraged taxpayers to get involved, which I think scares the heck out of the local politicians as they have been, ummm..........fill in the blank here.......... Seriously pertaining to the airport. The current legal actions towards the airport.................just one of them speaks volumes IMO!

Above ground pool questions....

I could probably answer most of your questions. But does your new hood have a HOA??? -
As a former resident of PC when the airport deal was voted on by residents (which WAS voted down) but still construction as a General Aviation under Jerry's and Blake"s watch, it's sad they couldn't make that work. Think about the promises of jobs and the current financial issues the citizens are on the hook for. Heck, the Movie Studio was a pipe dream that taxpayers are on the hook for monthly having to just pay for monthly operating costs much less the $5 million bond payment. I would love to hear from both sides as I believe the issues have divided the community. Every body can agre

Have you ever thought about an attitude adjustment prior to posting?

As Pubby said it has been a charge on cell phone bills for many years in Paulding County (question where the funds goes is a political story & discussion). I think it is an elective charge that you can refuse to pay, such as on a land line, and you will not be penalized for not paying the fee. When I moved from PC four years ago to Wilmington, NC, my Verizon bill was still charging me $1.50/month for 911 Paulding County. Took forever to make them realize my 678 area code originated in Cobb County, and when I moved to PC had no issues paying a simple fee for 911, but why am I being char

Actually Craig Ferguson's show is produced by David Letterman.....take it for what it's worth, I bet he will be in that time slot -
I think it might have been posted on here. Surprised Pubby did not post a topic about it since he is a candidate.

Guess I would get annoyed at several messages, but on the positive side Paulding County is finally getting a full service hospital to serve the community. -
