  1. The 155,000 I assume you are referring to residents of the County? If so, keep in mind there are rather large rural areas in the County that have no domestic water, but rely on wells. Also keep in mind with your math, a lot of the "per person expenditure" includes infants, children, and teens that have not even started working to pay this debt they are going to be on the hook for. Do some research and find out from the Water Authority, how many meters are hooked up to residential properties
  2. Nice presentation about how some folks feel about living in the community, and what currently has divided many
  3. LOL. I just wish the community could come together again. But bottom line, who is holding up the day in court and costing the taxpayers $$$$.............??????? Who do you think? Come on, call your post commissioner and demand it. Go to court and be done with it and move on. Again, sorry for the hijack
  4. Go with a professional bonded and insured company, not just a tree climber, such as the company a couple of others have mentioned
  5. LOL. I forgot about that. I watched it live as it was streaming back then.Too bad the County can't do that with their BOC meetings or such. Had to laugh at the end re:Blake and his pay. Correct me if I am wrong. He collects two paychecks from the IBA and PCAA making well over the average taxpayer in Paulding County, yet lives in Cobb County and has a County issued vehicle to drive to and from? And what has he proven as Director for the Airport or Movie Studio. Sorry to hijack your topic Glassdogs, Look at some facts, very informative as some folks in the community have worked very
  6. Actually I could care less who is paying other then the taxpayers. My main thing, why is the County wanting to continue to fight this? Go to Court, be heard, and get the community back I am certain all will Respect the Court Ruling. Point being, the County must has some issues for the motions filed and chooses to drag it out for many years. Go to Court and settle this matter. WHO is holding up the process????? Honestly, can YOU answer who is avoiding going to court????????
  7. Unless incorrect, I don't believe Jamie had much input dealing with the Airport or Movie Studio nor I believe his position was to deal with the Airport or Movie Studio, but surrounding economic development around the venues. Day & night, I would not drag his name into it as I believe his job had nothing to do hands on with the Airport or Studio
  8. Let me ask you. What progress has been made and jobs created? Let's just assume $50 million has been spent, and created how many jobs? Also, I've read where folks are saying no business would want to come to PC because of the negative publicity. Umm, are you current on local news stories regarding some things w/in the Current Admin? Furthermore, who is holding up the progress? Lawsuits are out there, are the Defendants holding it up? Last I read the Plaintiffs are ready to Rock n Roll but the County continues to hold off going to Court costing the taxpayers in legal fees. Honestly
  9. Exactly my point. Why not take it to Court. Which side do you believe is holding this up? Stop dragging it out, and the community will have to live with it.
  10. OK, for that example. Why is the County holding up the litigation/motions to avoid a day in Court?
  11. I totally agree. It was built for General Aviation. What's the problem?
  12. Let's look at it another way. Paulding has two great fairly new Facilities, Airport & Movie Studio. Both are under the SAME Director leadership <cough>. As far as I know, today the Movie Studio sits vacant while the State of Georgia much less the metro area of Atlanta is screaming for studio space due to the explosion of productions being filmed there. Yet, to date a $6.5 million facility of taxpayers funds sits vacant and is on the for sale block. The Airport is a great facility, but has not been utilized or marketed. JMO, there is a common denominator with both venues.
  13. My opinion and please feel free to check your facts. The Paulding County Airport was NOT largely funded by the FAA to my knowledge. Granted I believe the State kicked in some funds, but a clear example the fabulous terminal building and all it's furnishings, operating & maintenance the FAA does NOT fund. Furthermore, do you think it was legal for the BOC to approve $500,000 for an airport specific apparatus fire equipment using SPLOST $$$??? Who knows where this equipment is housed collecting dust, who is paying for even maintaining it, who is even trained on how to use it?? Bottom lin
  14. Absolutely agree. As far as I know the County is holding off going to court, and continue to cost the taxpayers with motions to hold off a day in court. Damn, go to court and be done with it!! Get the community back as I am sure folks will accept a Judge and/or Jury ruling and move on. Why drag this out? Think about it, who is hiding and skating around? Last I heard, the Plaintiffs are ready!!! Speaks Volumes
  15. Again, can you just simply answer my question???
  16. Those bells and whistles came out of the taxpayers $$$$. FAA does not cover the paint, flooring, furniture or such, much less I believe even the terminal building costs. I would still like Toxic, Pubby, or anyone. $70 million spent/mortgaged , HOW MANY FULLTIME PAULDING COUNTY JOBS HAVE BEEN CREATED????? Once again, toss aside the construction and contracted jobs.
  17. Can you answer a very simple question? Why has, after millions either from the general budget and/or bonds, to pay for a ...........................Wait, let me ask you. How would you describe the seven year old or so GA airport??? Furthermore, what has been gained? Jobs or debt? Please chime in as the IBA refused to make the bond payment due and the BOC had to make the payment. Again, please chime in. I am up for discussion
  18. Good for them. That's the way it should work. I know I sound like a broken record, but after about $70 million on the books here for a General Aviation Airport and a Movie Studio under the same Director where both venues have been unsuccessful, why continue? Seriously, how many full time jobs (other than construction OR contracted) have been placed? Do the math. Actually I believe it's only one(Director) as they had to filter his assistant pay and benis with the Chamber of Commerce. And that is a known fact I challenge folks to answer this. How much over $70 million does it take to cre
  19. I am certain you are more knowledgeable about communications lines. My understanding is fiber optics where run up and down 278 with the expansion years ago. But the State DOT ran low on funds and never really did not utilize them for even the traffic signals. Granted, if you are running fiber run two or three lines for redundancy. Can I ask this, the fiber some of you speak of. Was it State DOT funded install, or a private contractor?
  20. " Paulding.com could be employed to provide a new way to select and elect people to office". Did I read that right? You suggested that your website be employed, to SELECT & ELECT people to office? LMAO
  21. I am a grown man. Do not tell me to hush. Your thinking is clearly aside from mine. First, if not for this topic or others recently Pubby has admitted thoughts of shutting or slowly tune down this site. Secondly, Pubby has admitted he will not go to any of the County Meetings due to Security Scans. Coward. Thirdly, years ago you could visit this site and find about three pages of active posts, you are lucky if you find five during the day
  22. Keep in mind, YOU told me to hush. I am open to debate but if someone comes after me to hush, um, NO! I can debate, but telling me to hush......................obvious you have issues
  23. Explain how pcom promotes and supports the community. I am extremely curious to hear. Please tell
