  1. She is definitely not to young. When my husband was traveling to Japan he bought my daughter a set when she was 12. We put them away but she wears them when she goes to weddings and special occasions.
  2. This was a great movie. I would definitely pay to see it again!
  3. She was in great spirits today when I saw her a couple hours ago at the corner of 278 and 92.
  4. I know a lot of companies donate turkeys to be sent over.
  5. I don't know who said coaches can't be in the locker room but that is NOT true!
  6. So true, I see it everyday! I've asked kids if they talk to their parents that way and 90% of the time they tell me yes. It's sad and needs to be stopped. If it's allowed at home they know they can do it at school. The teachers, adminstrators, etc... can't put their hands on them and are limited to what they can do so the kids know they have the power to do what they want with little repercussions. By the chance they do get in trouble usually mom or dad are a phone call away and are up at the school defending little Johnny.
  7. I would be shocked if Obama let such a law or ruling pass having a wife and two daughters!
  8. Loved it! I bought carrot cake and coconut cupcakes and they were delicious. Hubby loved the apple turnover. I definitely plan on being a faithful customer.
  9. Look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!
  10. The cookies were yummy! We enjoyed them on our trip up to the mountains. I can't wait for y'all to open!
  11. I'm ready! I sure won't be baking for Thanksgiving this year.
  12. We walked it right after the storm before they blocked it off. There were guys out there cutting up trees that had fallen across the trail. There was so much damage with trees and the sides of the trail washing away. It will take quite a bit to build it back up.
  13. I am so looking forward to a local bakery. I drove by today and my mouth was watering now that I know what's going in there.
  14. Honestly they need to do something there. There are ALWAYS wrecks at that location.
  15. Call the tax office and talk to them. I think he should be exempt.
  16. After a certain age they go down big time. I don't think my father-in-law has to pay the school tax anymore. Once he turned a certain age his taxes were almost cut in half.
  17. We walked it right after the flood. There were trees covering the trail and they were cutting them down. Sides of the trail washed away. Some of it went into the road on the left side and on the right so many trees gave away and washed down the sides. Maybe they feel it's just unsafe at this point.
  18. I see more people doing this on a daily basis than I do police officers.
  19. I'm sure they're not making football practices mandatory. If some show up and some can't I'm sure they understand. They cannot have school if all roads are not accessible. You can't pick and choose which schools can be in session and which can't. Some areas were hit a lot harder than others. Why would anyone complain if the coaches wanted to try and get kids together to throw the football around? It might be a good idea for them to get out of the house and take their mind off other things. Just saying!!!
  20. Does it have to be declared a national disaster area before FEMA is called in? Who has to ask for it, the governor?
  21. I would like to send a big thank you to our local heroes. Our sheriff's, trooper''s, firefighters, rescue personnel and others I may have forgotten. I noticed there were Floyd County Sheriff's blocking some of our roads. They have all been called in to work extra hours because of this situation. They're tired, stressed and having to deal with dumb individuals. If you happen to come upon one tell them thanks!
  22. I heard people in Carrington subdivision are stuck on their roofs because of the lake flooding?????
