I heard sirens awhile ago flying down Bakers Bridge. I heard a helicopter about 5 minutes ago. I hope everyone is okay!

Bakers Bridge has Douglasville addresses but it's Paulding County. It turns into Douglas County at Sweetwater.

They'd have to do it before the buses depart, which I think is around 6:00. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I'm sure there's not enough boats to go around right now. Does Paulding have boats? I would think so with all the water that is throughout this county.

Even if the water recedes enough to make it safe for the buses to pass (which I doubt) the debris that will be left behind is going to leave it a mess.

If we're getting more than Cobb they'll have to close. They can't have school if the buses can't get the kids!

I feel bad for the police, fire and rescue folks. They must be tired, soaked and frustrated. I sit here shaking my head and wonder why people are still driving around in this crap. I understand those folks who have to work but...

I honestly think too many roads are flooded to have school. I don't think they'll recede enough by 6:00 to get the buses though.

I know there's water down on BB right before you hit Senators Road. I wonder if that's what has flooded. I wish they'd close it at Ridge and then people wouldn't be able to travel down at all. Although most have enough common sense not to go around barriers.

Good night. I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight. Not with all this lightning cracking so close to home. I usually sleep real well with storms but not tonight.

There are just too many busy bodies who want to go out and see what's happening. They think they're invincible and in the meantime they're putting others lives at risk. It really irritates the heck out of me!

Can you say stupid? I don't understand the way people think. Road blocked off, lots of rain, flooding, hmm, what could that mean??? Dumb!!! I hope whoever it was is going to be okay though!

There won't be any way into Dugan and SPHS if they keep shutting down these roads.

My neighbor and his friend were out driving around earlier looking at damage. I really wish people would stay home.

I saw this on the news too. The gas station parking lot was flooded. I will keep y'all in my prayers!

I wish people would stay home so they don't get stuck in these situations! It is so dangerous out there!

If the buses can't get through they'll be left with no choice!

I have been praying for them. They are out there putting their lives at risk to save others. Yes, I know it's their jobs but still say a prayer for them.

Please stop and take a moment to pray for the Paulding County Sheriff, Georgia State Patrol and all others out there working in this mess!
