  1. When my thyroid gets more out of whack (I picture it as dying a little bit at a time), I get really, really tired, I can't concentrate, my hair and nails get brittle, and did I mention that I get really tired? Oh, I'm also way sensitive to temperature extremes. GAH!!!
  2. BTW - what land does Delta own near the airport and what are their plans for it?
  3. I didn't say Delta was doing it* for altruistic reasons. Of course they don't want the expansion, either. I don't see the monopoly thing. Delta isn't the only airline in town. * I repeat that I have nothing to do with this group opposed to the airport (other than agreeing with to them for the most part), and have no knowledge of how they get their legal funding. I addressed it because it does seem logical to me that Delta would side with the opposition group.
  4. Agree with those saying see a specialist about the thyroid. What you show and describe are CLASSIC symptoms. If it were to be thyroid cancer, that is the most treatable of most all the cancers. After my dad had his thyroid removed and got his thyroid med at a proper level, he was like a new man. BTW - sometimes even a full thyroid panel will show normal but the thyroid is still malfunctioning. Endocrinologists know about these things. And about your diabetes as well.
  5. I've been pondering on this since yesterday. Say Delta is funding the deep-pocket lawyers. So? Those opposed to what's proposed for the airport need representation...If they have a corporation willing to help with legal fees, why shouldn't they take the help offered? I have no knowledge of this situation and soon won't even be a resident of this county. I just don't see how Delta funding the legal opposition would be wrong (or if you get right down to it, unconstitutional).
  6. I have a program called Lookout on my mother's Android; also a program called Mobile Care. Both are scanning programs and Mobile Care has an anti virus component. Oh, I also have AdBlock which stops ads as long as you're running off wifi. I had the mobile.version of CCleaner but it caused problems so I went to Mobile Care which is from Advanced System Care, which I have on my computers. Oh, all were free. And even the experts can't agree on whether security is needed for phones. I figure better safe than sorry.
  7. It is indeed a real hospital and is now affiliated with Redmond in Rome. Being from Rome originally, I can tell you that Rome has some of the best medical care in the state outside of Atlanta and Augusta. Redmond is a great hospital and if Cartersville is associated with it, I personally would not hesitate to use them. Wait time in the ER just now when I looked at their site was 7 minutes. 8. Very easy to find. Go in the main gate at Berry and you will see a guard house ahead. Turn left onto the little side drive just before the guard house. While on the little side road that leads to a big parking lot, look to your left to about the tallest pine (it's near a concrete culvert) and you'll see a big nest. The security folks in the guard house will be glad to point it out if you can't find it. If you haven't been, Berry is not far past the Braves stadium. Take a right onto 27 after you pass the stadium and the main entrance is on your left about 3/4 mile down.
  9. Yes, it is. She was just talking about how wonderful the plaque on the wall commemorating same is.
  10. I just cannot believe in an age where we have satellites that can see the deck chairs around our pool that somebody doesn't know where that plane is.
  11. Which does not matter if it's against the rules to use them in this instance. I presume there are other companies that provide the same services, no? Honestly, at this point I just have to laugh at every detail that comes out about the governing of this county. I am tired of crying over it. So what's your point? He's done a great job with the IBA and I'm sure he'll do a great job with the airport and the AA. /sarcasm off
  12. I wondered when somebody was gonna get around to noticing this. You could have an ER in a tent with Grady's ER personnel and you'd be just fine. I have NOT been impressed with any of the Wellstar facilities. Grady is what it is in other areas, but their ER and NICU are the best. If I'm ever hurt bad, send me to Grady and then when I'm better, transfer me to Piedmont.
  13. If you need me when the SHTF, I'll be at Textures' house. But I ain't eatin' no nasty sardines. I'll bring a supply of Vienna sausages.
  14. Good deal. As it is, this is the one race I'm happy about.
  15. IDK. He said earlier that Reynolds hasn't had a break-in in 18 years. He also supposedly had the FBI's behavioral analysis group working with him from at least the second or third day (could have been sooner, but I remember him saying it a little after the murder was discovered). One would think he'd be following their advice. Maybe they're feeding him information to release in hopes it will further their investigation somehow. He says he has physical evidence they knew the killers in addition to the assumptions (no forced entry, etc.).
  16. Yeah, some things are just better left unsaid. I'm so sorry, OSU.
  17. Sheriff says the Dermonds knew their killer(s). http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/murdered-elderly-couple-sheriff-says-victims-likel/nf4Tg/?icmp=ajc_internallink_textlink_homepage
