  1. Well, crap. I reckon I would choose Flight 007 since a sitting Congressman was on board (Dr. Larry MacDonald, representative of the then-7th district of Georgia).
  2. What happened to the settlers on Ocracoke Island. Or how Vince Foster died (and no, that is not a political statement). What really happened to KAL Flight 007. I hope I'm not restricted to just one...
  3. I agree. Considering voter apathy, I don't see it changing outcomes by much.
  4. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA. That is hilarious, and so frickin' true!!! The only thing I can think of that might get rid of it for good is goats. Maybe cows, but better chance with goats. Even Round-up won't completely get rid of it. Kinda like the invasive privet and bamboo. Evil!!!
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Oh, that is truly horrible!!! I knew I hadn't seen any in awhile, but didn't think anything about it since I've not been able to plant anything for the last couple of years. Mebbe they don't like them yankee hostas. They sure like 'em in our neighborhood. Some poor dude planted a whole bank - 30 or more, I'm guessing...gone the next morning. Grew back some, gone.
  6. A word to the wise - if you plant hostas and any deer are nearby, they will be GONE in no time flat. Ditto impatiens (my favorite shade-loving annual).
  7. Never heard of it. Will put it on my list.
  8. I miss mom of 3...I'm guessing she has been busy. I miss c mark, too.
  9. They were adult enough to plot this crime in advance and lure the other girl there under false pretenses before trying to kill her, so yeah, I have no problem trying them as adults. Besides which, I'm guessing many/most psychiatrists would find these girls to be sociolopaths at best and if released into the wild would surely keep going in their predatory, murderous ways. I don't either, but that's because you and I aren't exposed to the world's underbelly on a daily basis.
  10. I WAS TOLD THERE'D BE NO MATH HERE!!! :sobbingquietlyinthecorner:
  11. More strange rainbow hippie people?
  12. I know a couple of people who've had it, but I think much counseling is in order. You can figure out how to get around the earing restrictions and put the weight right back on. Have you gotten a second opinion? Your situation is so atypical that it might be solved with an atypical solution.
  13. Take the s out of https:// and it'll post. I did not know that about George C. Scott. Man, that's depressing.
  14. Prolly deewee's husband. Aragon is like Emerson, Kingston, Sharpsburg, etc....do the speed limit and nothing more.
  15. Somehow I just unliked this post that I had previously liked! Now I'm out of likes and can't re-like it. I wish we had a different like system! The babies are at that big ugly/gangly stage.
  16. Don't tell me angels don't exist. Precious story (albeit a tragic one as well).
  17. I tell you a pretty drive if you wanna do the Carter's Lake trip...go from Chatsworth to the lake, then continue across the mountain to Ellijay...little two-lane road that's just precious. I wanna say it's Hwy 52. Also, if the Cohutta Lodge is still in bidness, that's a cool place to eat. Edited to add that I can't find any information about the Lodge...it must have closed. Too bad.
  18. Hey, he thinks Family Dollar in Vine City is safer. He does have a point about Kroger not making their lot more secure.
  19. I loved that so many people had only great things to say about him when he died. What a great legacy, and what an encouragement to his family.
  20. Ooh - Carter's Lake is purty, too. And I neglected to say before that if you're going to visit the eaglets, by all means, go on out to the old Academy Campus (now leased to Chick-fil-A for WinShape stuff and scholarship student housing)...three miles from the main campus and oh, so lovely. Swan Lake (one swan at the moment) with lots of ducks and geese, a little waterfall, Frost Chapel (gothic beauty), and the Old Mill with one of the largest water wheels in the world. (Not turning anymore thanks to some dilbert climbing on it and getting herself dead years ago.)
