Both!! I'm hoping if I can get her into gymnastics or ballet, she'll be able to teach me how to walk down the steps without falling down them (or she will be agile enough to catch me)!!

Yes, but I'm hoping to avoid a few trips to the ER!!

Thanks for the recommendations. I've checked out the websites and it looks like The Little Gym (now in Smyrna) offers Saturday classes. It's a little bit of a drive, but if I don't find anything closer, it's a good option.

Okay, it's time to get the princess involved in something that will hopefully keep her from turning into a world-class klutz like her mom. Can anyone recommend a dance, gymastics or tumbling program that offers classes for a 2 year old on Saturdays or in the evenings during the week? Thanks!

Have you checked with Pastor Matt here on p.com?

Unless I'm missing something, I just said that "it's never okay to leave a baby unattended in a car." Unattended as in alone, not with adult supervision.... Like I also said, I'm not saying we should send her to the electric chair (or burn her at the stake), but obviously some parenting classes are in order.

As a mother of a 2 year old, no matter how inconvenient it may be, it is never okay to leave a baby unattended in a car. I'm not saying this mom needs to go to the electric chair for it, but she does need some court-ordered parenting classes.

Wait and see what happens, BCBS went through this a couple of years ago too.

I used to work in the Equitable Building -- unless they've done a lot of upgrades, we got the better deal. I even wondered why they made the guys wear protective suits and masks when they were removing the asbestos several years ago. We didn't have to wear those things to work in the building every day....

Consumer contracts that include binding arbitration under attack
LisaC replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One of the biggest issues that I've seen with arbitration clauses is that if your credit card company is headquartered in another state, you have to consent to binding arbitration based on the laws of that state. The means you have to travel to that state to attend the arbitration and, in some cases, you have to pay 1/2 of the arbitration fee. I'm glad to see these go - they give these businesses extra leverage against consumers. -
Tell your son that from now on, every time he uses an inappropriate word you will take away one toy (your choice) and it will go in the trash. If it happens again, ask him to tell you what his punishment is, "Mommy will throw away one of my toys." Then, take one of his toys and throw it in the trash - in the outside can, not in the house. Remind him every day when you drop him off at daycare what will happen if he uses bad language again and follow through. The basic key is consistent punishment. If he knows what the consequences are and that you will follow through with it, it will g

I doubt that I will shop there -- for me to get to Food Lion, I will have to drive past Kroger and Ingles. I know nothing about Food Lion so I don't know what kind of store it will be. I will tell you that I don't like shopping at Ingles - compared to Kroger, they're overpriced (at least based on the things I buy regularly).

Oops, they're not sending it to you - I responded with my name, social security number and bank account information. It should be in my account any day now.....

Back in the old days when I was a lifeguard at High Falls Lake, the drownings we had were when people who couldn't swim decided to see how far they could walk out into the water. They would hit a sudden drop off and just go under - no signs of struggle. If you didn't happen to see them as soon as it happened, depending on where they were when they went under, the water wasn't clear enough to see them. Also, lakes have currents and undertow - if you step into a drop off and go under, a current can easily pull you farther down and sideways enough to disorient youso you can't tell which way is

I have a genuine question concerning replica handbags
LisaC replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You think less of someone because of their things? As you said, it's not the things that make the person.... Just because someone enjoys nice purses, clothes or whatever doesn't mean you should think less of them. ETA: If you don't believe, make that statement about someone carrying a purse from Wal-Mart and see what happens. -

That's why I said that I buy them because I like them. I only own one Coach bag with the C's on it and it's a diaper bag. As for the other brands, unless you can see the Prada, D&G or other designer emblem on the front, you wouldn't be able to tell it from any other brand. But, I will say that if I have a problem with my 10 year old designer handbag (broken zipper, clasp, braiding, etc.), the manufacturer will either repair it or replace it (as long as you submit your registration paperwork when you buy the bag). -

Okay, I'm not sure how to answer this because I own several authentic designer purses. Why do I buy them? I like them. Period. That's my only explanation. I can think of only one time when I bought a purse to impress someone (it was a Prada and I was young). I still have that purse though and it's in great shape... -
You do the crime, you do the time. Speeding inside the city limits is expensive.

One of the things I found out when I tracked my migraines was that I would get them more often on days when I didn't drink a lot of water.

Thanks, this is exactly the stuff I'm looking for!!

Has anyone noticed if Wal-Mart or Target has started their sales on school supplies this week? There was nothing in the Target sales flyer, but I know that Wal-Mart usually puts their stuff out about a week or so before they start advertising.

I wonder if his casket will be carried to his gravesite in the Wiener Mobile? (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Instead of matching outfits, just pick a color. We did for our first family Christmas picture and it turned out great -- I wore a suit with a red jacket, hubby wore a red shirt and black pants, and the princess wore a red dress. We matched but it wasn't over the top. Last year, our color was denim blue -- again, the pictures turned out great. Haven't even thought about this year yet.... Good luck!!

Thanks CC -- every time I see the full list, I'm reminded of how caring our community is.
