Also try Buckle at the mall. They have skinny tall sizes - more appropriate for teens.

I like Starbucks... Just sayin...

I'm not opposed to the airport. I don't like the lack of transparency, but I'm not opposed to the airport growing into something useful and profitable. (And, I know a lot of folks in Paulding that feel the same way).

TV Dance Show Tapings Jan. 15/16 in Atlanta
LisaC replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Keep in mind that at some tapings, the audience is not allowed to leave until the taping is done. -
Have you tried Belk or Dillards? They both have a big & tall dept. Kohl's also has a small big & tall section.

Some advice - when folks work your nerves just a little too much, walk away and take a breath. There are lots of good folks on this site, you just have to understand that they sometimes feel so passionately about something that they get their neckhairs up. But, even when I disagree with some of them, I still know that they're good people.

So are you saying no one really knows who owns the property? As for the deal with GDOT and GRTA - GRTA is a good thing for Paulding and GDOT footing the bill for the bypass doesn't hurt my feelings at all. That was definitely a sweet deal for us.

You want some dip with that chip? (Sorry, couldn't resist!)
-
I bought ours directly from the FoodSaver website and LOVE it!
-
So, in the interest of full disclosure, who owns the property across the street from the new hospital? If it's the county or a commissioner, put it out here for all of us to see. All that I see from property tax records is that the BOC owns property at 1723 Bill Carruth Parkway (a/k/a Paulding County Water).

Now that is something a lawsuit needs to be filed about! Let all the airplanes you want land in Paulding, but stop work on the tunnels?!? That's beyond crazy!!

The princess's school is closed tomorrow too. For them, it's a heating issue. There is just no way to keep the building warm enough for the kids when the temps get that low. But, for my princess, it means that as long as the roads are clear, she will be coming to Atlanta with me again for the day. If we get ice, we will stay home.
-
Exactly - the roads were completely drive for my drive into Atlanta today. However, it is seriously COLD outside.

Both were fine this morning.

We have used East Paulding Pediatrics for almost 7 years (since the princess was born). I love them and highly recommend them!

Manners.............. Do you practice using them in your Family?

My pet peeve, responding to a question with saying "yeah" or "uh huh" instead of "yes." -
The princess and her real friends spend hours playing with their dolls together (AG and non-AG dolls). And, her dolls are great travel buddies for her - I definitely prefer hearing her play with them on a long trip over watching videos or playing video games.

I read the link and I still stand by my statement. The county does not need to own it (regardless of whether it is a hotel/conference center or just a conference center). They need to leave it to the professionals.

My daughter has two AG dolls - her Bitty Baby (Kita) and her My AG Doll (Chrissy - which looks like her). She adores her dolls. We have the AG crib and have bought a few of the outfits for each of them. And she and Chrissy have a few matching outfits. I have taken her and Chrissy to lunch at the AG doll store and we have also visited the store in Chicago. My princess loved every moment of it and the memories we have from those visits are priceless. Yes, they are more expensive, but we can afford them and my princess treats each of her dolls (and her stuffed animals for that matter) like

I disagree, the county does not need to own a hotel/meeting center - we need an experienced company to own, develop, and market the center so it can be successful. The county has absolutely no experience in any of those areas and it would just be throwing more government red tape into private business. JMHO.

Go to Lenox Square - she will love it!! Stay away from Arbor Place. I had to go there earlier this week and I did not feel safe (and this was during the day). If she wants to do something a little more trendy, you could go to Atlantic Station, but it's outdoors. Trust me, Lenox is your best bet since you are coming from Peachtree City.

I would be interested in what a feasibility study would show. With the new WellStar Hospital in Paulding, it could be that across the street from that would be a very profitable place for hotel/conference center space. It would give WellStar the option to host meetings in Paulding to show off it's newest hospital. For those who think that conference space needs are already met in Paulding, it's not true. Most companies require multiple rooms for meetings/seminars/events and not just one "conference room." Personally, I would love to see a "resort" similar to the Evergreen Resort at Stone

They need a dedicated arrow light for turning at that intersection. For some reason, folks like to just turn and hope for the best when they are trying to get through there. If you can't see, DON'T GO!! And, there needs to be a longer delay between when the light on 278 turns red and the light coming out of JCP/BB turns green to compensate for the number of folks who insist on running that light at the last minute.

I slapped the community in the face too - we didn't go to the parade either.
