I did see the story about the 4 cents. The most shocking thing about the situation to me was that the penalties and interest was over $200. I think it would be very difficult for a home based Church to gain tax exemption status for property and other taxes. I'm with you on being afraid of the IRS just like I'm afraid of a crazy man with a gun.

How do you avoid paying taxes by starting a Church in your home? Maybe this is something we all should do.

I think the iPad will be a hit, but how big a hit remains to be seen. I have no doubt that early sales will be strong as the typical early adopters, Apple fan boys and ubergeeks line up for the purchase. Unless you are in a foreign country, I do not see how this is possible. You should be covered by the extra $30 iphone data fee.

Sue me. We could have fun in court with this one. Of course I would need to know all the facts like whether it came out of your nose or just your mouth.

I've often thought that if this happened to me and the guy sued, I would file a suit for damaging and infecting my property by bleeding all over it. I should think I would also be due some money for mental anguish and for his failure to carry out the agreed upon work. It's one thing if I tickle him and cause him to fall while climbing up a ladder it's another if he fell because of his own clumsiness.

In a case like this, shouldn't they have to provide proof of insurance? I'm skeptical about some of the smaller roofing companies.

The funny thing is, Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit over this ad. My guess is that she will lose and her attorney will be disciplined for filing a frivolous suit. More here.

I would think your medical would be responsible unless you have "hacked by a hatchet" insurance.
