Windows Defender comes with Vista and Windows 7, so I will assume that you have one of them. Allow Defender and/or AVG to remove any malicious software that it detects. I would also suggest doing a full scan with each of them and installing and scanning with the free version of Malware Bytes that JJ recommended. You can get it at malwarebytes.org

I can't believe the FCC actually approved this. I'm not sure if I'm more upset with the FCC or with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) which apparently believes we are all thieves. I hope they work this out as it is totally insane. If they can do this, what is to stop every other business from saying they have under-billed their customers. You need to uninstall Trend before installing any other AV product. If you do not, there is a good chance that the 2 AV's will get in a fight with each other and your computer will get killed in the crossfire.
