Honestly, I don't know of any teacher that is going to turn down Anything that is donated. We rarely use soap because the schools usually provide it in the restrooms. Old magazines, newspapers are always helpful to art and language arts teachers. Thank you again.

Oh honey, I've seen you....your Little Debbies do not show. I'm a very "big" girl. I have a 3 yo and a 15 yo...my sugar is my sanity. I don't drink, smoke and only curse a little. -
US Big Food Co's. Could Virtually Run Out of Sugar

OMG!!!! Hubby says that he's going to have to quit smoking because the cigarettes are getting too expensive and now it looks like I'm going to have to give up my sugar addiction . Things could get Real bad around my house if both of us go cold turkey at the same time. Everyone go for your bomb/storm shelters...things are going to get Very bad in Dallas . We have each given up our addiction in the past but never at the same time. The fact that we are having to give them up again says something for how bad things got or how weak our will power is. This is scary...very sca -
I love the wash cloth and think they would work Great on my dry erase board. As for other donations...since I teach special ed, I rarely get anything that the parents send in as it generally goes to the homeroom teacher. That is just part of the game and I'm used to it. The Clorox wipes...to clean off desks in the afternoon to help with the germ factor would be very helpful, the $1 air freshners...my students have connections first thing in the morning so I will have BO to deal with for the rest of the day, the pocket folders are also very helpful. Like a previous poster said, cop

I will put these days on my calendar and make it to one of them. I know I'm in one of those groups as is my hubby. There is always a sign in downtown Dallas about a blood drive.

It is those little things like that that make us remember why we do what we do. -
I would love to join you all, but I'm hoping to take my first furlough day and be at a campground with my family. I figure that I might as well make the most of the situation . We can camp for next to nothing.

Gifted was once considered a form of special ed..

Mr. Segars made it very clear to the board that the majority of the teachers are feeling this way. We can deal with facts...just give us facts.

This was a called board meeting to discuss the budget.

I went to the school board meeting this morning but left at 10:45 and it was still going on. I am wondering if it is still going on? Any decisions made? The only thing that seemed to be pretty set was the the "adjusted work schedule"/furlough days, are the Friday of post planning, Oct. 16 and Dec. 21. There were a lot of other things being discussed.

My 3 yo daughter and sat all snuggled up watching it. When the oo oo oo song...as she calls it, came on she got ahold of the remote and cranked up the sound and sang with it. She was soooo cute. If Sugarland came to the Dallas Theater, you could not keep the 2 of us away for anything. She was more excited about them coming on tv than Dora coming to Atlanta. Go figure

I Love that. How much would a totebag in those colors with 3 initials cost me??? Hubby owes me a graduation from grad school present...LOL

Yes, I believe in it. I'm not always able to financially pay it forward but I do so with kindness and in other ways. I am sooo glad you got your wallet back with all of the important things in it. God does truly answer prayers.

The days for the kids will not change at all. The days for the teachers will be affected by the whole furlough thing. The Board is having a called meeting this Wed. at 8:15a.m.. I'm assuming to discuss how Paulding County is going to do the furlough thing. Believe me, as a teacher....I can not be told soon enough.
