First, it seems you are suggesting he resign, not as speaker, but as the representative of the 19th house district of Georgia. (I knew I should have looked that up earlier). That is almost silly as the the role of an elected representative is to represent folks at a deliberative body. Typically, the only qualification for that is that the person live in the district and be of a certain minimum age. Actually, the issue is simply the state law that establishes that incident reports are public record. It is a tacit violation to not release the report and it appears from the article that the county will, within the three-day limit based on the request, comply with that request to the letter of the law. (I.e. come-by, pick it up and pay 50 cents a page or some such). I think the mods saw that I published information from the same release on the Pcom news. I was actually surprised by the major market coverage. I personally was doing the news which included the official report from the Paulding-Haralson Drug Task Force including photos of the operation.
