Actually, I've driven in Europe and traffic circles handle amazingly complex intersections with aplomb. It not quite that easy for me to blame it on the inattentive driver making a left at that intersection in large part because the driver coming north on Bill Carruth - despite coming up a hill - could be going 50-60 mph or faster. That means that when the guy coming to make a left turn is looking down the road 500 feet to the intersection, he sees nothing. He's not fallen .... yet ... and he may not. The post of speaker is voted on every two years and the vote was last year. For him to leave the post, he must either resign from the post himself or be indicted by a grand jury for a crime. There, no doubt, are efforts to force him to resign just as there are pressures on the local DA and the states' Attorney General to find something to indict him on.
