I got a call from thatboyaintright about his father. His father has been in the hospital for the last two weeks and it look like he won't be coming home. After providing all the treatments, it appears that a combination of a long term illness, age and a more recent infection has effectively left his lungs incapable of aspiration and there is no prognosis for improvement. He's been on a vent for the past two weeks and I understand that will be removed later this evening about six p.m. Obviously this is devastating for tbar and his family and my prayers are with them. Second quarter has started with Rockdale in possession. The battle is turning into a midfield defensive battle with three downs and a punt ... the big variation being that Rockdale has two turnovers (the fumble that led to the first HIRAM TD) and a pass interception.
