  2. Well at least we know now, it's okay to kill your baby and throw her body in a swamp, but don't get caught with a fake ID.
  3. I think the jury thought their decision should based on ABSOLUTELY NO doubt WHATSOEVER, Everyone, today, expects for there to be exact DNA matches, matched fingerprints, and the murder to be solved in less than an hour, perferable during nightly prime time.

  5. Casey was thinking.... "I fooled them all!" "I'm going to be free to party and do whatever I want!" "I'm going to be able to sell my story for a bundle so I'll never have to work, depend on my dysfunctional parents, and party the rest of my life!" "No way my parents are going to let me live with them, but WTH!" "I wonder if Jose will help me sue my parents and brother for sexual abuse?" "I can show my 'sad' face and get anything I want! Oh poor pitiful me!"
  6. It makes me think that some of the jurors thought they might come to a verdict today since they dressed up (so they'd be presentable for all of the media interviews that would follow their verdict.)
  7. I'm just glad those pilots are own OUR side.
  8. Brown's pools has a good selection and they will negotiate on price.
  9. Inadequate counsel doesn't work as well as it used to. Plus they had other attorneys on the defense team. Just because the attorney made bad decisions and poor choices doesn't mean he was inadequate. Monday morning quarterbacking doesn't carry that much weight anymore.
  10. What do you think would happen if the roles were reversed and we were illegally in Mexico?
  11. Based on the evidence, I can't see how a jury could find her innocent. I think Baez did a really poor job as an attorney. I wish someone was keeping a scorecard of the objections that were sustained when he was doing the questioning. That will be bad PR for him - can't see anyone accused of murder wanting Baez representing them. Baez made claims in his opening statement that he never proved. I think he only wanted to confuse the jury and I'm hoping the jury saw through that tactic.
  12. Man, I'm moving to Florida. It appears their execution chamber has an 'Express Lane'!
  13. Yeah, it's not a figment of your imagination either. I've also seen individual posts just simply be made to disappear like a puff of smoke. Incredible!
  14. So they've got Saturday off and closing statements on Sunday. I wonder how long the jury will take to decide.
  15. Paulding needs a great deli place, like a Schlotzsky. I would love to see a large manufacturing facility take up residence in Paulding, possible between Hiram and Dallas.
  16. I think you'll start seeing on many of the county's main throughways that new businesses and new subdivisions that get new access will only have a right in/right out so that there will be no left turning traffic. I remember seeing something to that effect of all of those main roads due to increased traffic.
  17. So why do weiners shrink in cold water?
  18. I'm interesed in seeing what sanctions Judge Perry is going to put on Baez when this trail is over. He's already said he would deal with that at the conclusion of the trail.
  19. You could visit Florida caverns near Marianna on your way down 431.
  20. It's amazing to me that you take several engineers who paid a lot for their degrees and training, and then people with no knowledge of traffic flow, future expansion, etc think they know better. Probably the same people who park in the gore areas in shopping centers.
  21. Perhaps. I've seen a wedding or two, and some marriages can be hazardous to ones health. Things happen. Sometimes its safer not to get attached.
  22. I don't know why they are on George for pausing and asking for the question to be repeated. The question Baez asked him was "when you were having a romantic relationship, did you tell her this was an accident that snowballed?" That's a loaded question. It's like "Have you stopped beating your wife?" You can answer Yes or No. When George asked to have the question repeated Baez left out the "romantic relationship" part and George answered No rather quickly. I can't understand why no one at HLN picked up on that.
  23. copschick, I hope he gets to feeling better soon. After reading this thread it made me think of this story.... THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN A NUTSHELL The phone rings and the lady of the house answers, "Hello." "Mrs. Sanders, please." "Speaking." "Mrs. Sanders, this is Doctor Jones at Saint Agnes Laboratory. When your husband's doctor sent his biopsy to the lab last week, a biopsy from another Mr. Sanders arrived as well. We are now uncertain which one belongs to your husband. Frankly, either way the results are not too good." "What do you mean?" Mrs. Sanders asks nervously.
  24. After listening to Mason, it's painful to hear Baez questioning the other meter reader. Mason makes Baez sound like a first year law student with all of the objections to his form of questions. If I was a juror (and have been) I would be building a bias against that defense attorney - something that would be hard not to do.
