Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest
Georgia Dawg replied to Nice Green's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you work for retail or customer service industries you work a lot of holidays and weekends. That's a choice when you decide that as a career path. I used to work for a large tire manufacturer and we were a 24 x 7 operation that allowed Thanksgiving day off. However, we had to go to work at the start of our shift at 11 PM Thursday night for 3rd shift. It comes with the territory. But people will complain about anything. While working 3rd shift we'd have people complain about having to work an extra hour in the Fall when the time changed. Some of these same people would complain in th -

Paulding county is not the right demographic for Red Lobster. Red Lobster doesn't serve all you can eat catfish.

Honey Nut Cheerios. I could eat the entire box. I'm a cereal killer.

If you're going with someone else (another couple) then you could probably save some big buck$ by booking your excursions with a 3rd party once you are in port. The cruise lines mark up those excursions drastically! We normally can get the same tour for 1/2 of what the cruise line charges and end up doing extra stuff. Some of the cab drivers will do tours and you can 'buy' them for however long you want and tailor a tour just for what you and your group want to do or see.

Inside cabin, outside cabin - doesn't matter. It only matters with an outside if it has a balcony that you can open. Windows never open. If someone in your group gets motion sickness the safest place on the ship is in the middle toward the lowest floor. None of the passenger decks are below the water line. We (4 of us) once booked an inside cabin on the lowest floor with upper and lower berths. It was tight, but we had the best time. For our 25th wedding anniversary we booked a cabin with a balcony. It was rommier than most hotel rooms and we loved the balcony. The next time we go to Alask

Only those with passion and drive will ever get a head in life. -
That's okay. Half the people in Cobb County can't find '11' on their phones anyway.

That rule is present everywhere. When we do inventory evaluations we often find that only 20% of the items that a company sells makes up 80% of their overall sales. Not every item, or every company, or every individual can be a top seller or a top wage earner. Remember, not everyone can be Above Average. Cuz then it wouldn't be an average then. Some will be below average. That's the way it works. -
Haters Launch Petition to Take the Kardashians Off Television What do Change.org and Occupy Wall Street have in common with some Kardashian haters? They all are organized groups of people trying to get something done — in the Kardashian case, they want the reality clan off of television for good! "In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming," petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement. "We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanit

Maybe it's just me, but I don't have a lot of respect for the family of the man who defended OJ and got him off. Yeah, it's just me. And regardless of when they divorced, the Kardashian children are still running off of his 'blood' money.

That would have been the first Christmas.

I can't believe that some people on here that have never heard of the gore area and don't know that you're not supposed to drive through it. I guess that just shows a good reason why EVERYONE should be re-tested every so often for the written test when getting their driver's licences renewed. Another common violation to watch out for is the SOLID WHITE LINE that you see on the acceleration and decceleration lanes on the interstates. You are NOT supposed to cross ANY solid white line on an interestate or highway. One friend of mine got ticketed for crossing the solid white line on the accel

"You don't mind if I search your car, right?" Yes means you don't mind. No means you DO mind and you do not grant consent. Most people respond with "Nah" which means they shouldn't but most officers take that response as a yes. Don't you just love those double-negatives? Answer Yes or No to these: Have you stopped beating your spouse? Have you stopped cheating on your spouse?

Herman Cains 4th accuser comes forward

If mrnn think's Hermain Cain isn't electable, then that's just the more reason that I'll be supporting him. Liberals are scared of him because he's not a typical politician who can easily be bought. Herman Cain isn't as polished as Romney - who has run before and been a politician for years - but Cain is more articulate than Rick Perry, who is crashing and burning at every turn. The debates are getting sillier by the day. This last debate was supposed to be about the economy, but the moderators kept throwing non-economic questions at Cain and Romney to see if they could get them to go afte -
Double-Billing from a Local Mexican Restaurant

Sometimes one charge is the initial charge when they swipe your card to bring you your slip. The other transaction is often the settled amount with or without your tip. That first initial charge usually goes away. The bad part is that can often hit your limit when both charges are pending, but they usually reconcile pretty quickly. Hopefully, no one is up to any funny stuff there. -
Sounds like you need to call Clark Howard and have him sic their bulldog on 'em.

Probably to two best places to shop for a desktop is Vision Computers or MicroCenter in Marietta. I've bought our last 3 computers from MicroCenter, they've got knowledgable sales people that can point you in the right direction. I was looking at one model with adding some upgrades to it and they showed me something else that was better - and less expensive and wasn't already maxed out from an upgrade perspective. -
I work outside the county at a publically owned company, not a private company. That choice wasn't available.

Paterno isn't a scape goat. Paterno, himself, has admitted that he wishes he had done more. That's an admission of guilt. In his position he is held to a much higher standard and should have done all he could. I'm still looking for more heads to roll at the University. This isn't over by any stretch.

Don't you just love the way the media has pounced on this story saying that with this handfull of women that something must have gone on? Any person with half a brain ('nuff said) can tell when a smear campaign is in action. You can expect others to start fabricating stories if these latest ones don't stick. Obama and his Chicago-style politics machine won't allow a blacker black man to run against him in the General Election. That would just be racist to allow that to happen. Obama will have to start claiming himself as a half-breed - as a new victim of discrimination/racism.
