Just stay away from Sleep Number beds. If you want one, get one off Craigs List or go to Walmart and buy an Air mattress and a foam topper. We paid $3500 for an adjustable base from Sleep Number, but we returned it since it wasn't working properly. We found out that the adjustable base SN sells is just a 'good' model from Leggitt & Platt. We bought a Stearns and Foster mattress and an adjustable base from them. This ended up being a top of the line base from Leggitt & Platt and it was half the price of the one SN sells which is actually a cheaper model. We still have one king be

Ga. joins Nations Top Five "Saddest States".

Let me know how happy those people in Maine are in the dead of winter. Of course, getting Lobsters for $5 each would make me happy too. -
Making that kind of money makes her "rich" in Obama's eyes and the government will want (more than) their fair share of it - like close to 40%, plus State taxes, plus Luxury taxes, plus Gift taxes, and.... And if she's married her husband's income, which was probably taxes at 15% will be taxed at 39% at the end of the year. Thanks dear!

But even with the skyrocketing gas prices, the economy is still improving. ZC said so.

Carnival is in (no pun intended) 'damage control'. They, just like any other major company, are trying to resolve these issues in the most inexpensive manner possible. Due to the Costa Concordia sinking last year My link, Carnival expects to lose $100 Million just from loss of use of that ship. Yes, there are things that Carnival could have done to mitigate the situation. However, those things would have cost money, and since their Risk Management department decided to go the cheaper route, we have what we have. It's no different than a large auto maker deciding it's less expensive to p

Some people may not shop at Walmart but Walmart is definitely a barometer of the US economy. Walmart's $405 billion in revenue last year makes it the 23rd-largest economy in the world, bigger than Sweden. This year, everyone in the world will make an average of 1.1 purchases at a Walmart. Each week nearly one-third of the U.S. population visits Walmart's U.S. stores. Walmart is the largest overall employer in the USA, and the biggest employer in 25 states. In fiscal year 2012, Walmart registered approximately $444 billion in sales, which is $20 billion more than Austria's GDP. If Wal

FYI --- if you have been looking for ethanol-free gas

The government knows that ethanol can hurt gasoline engines and their hope is that it will destroy people's older cars so they either have to buy newer, more efficient cars or start using mass transit or buy an electric car. -

I don't see too many of them around. The ones do I see are permanent residents here and see things like the rest of us. When we moved here I was amazed at the much lower percentages of minorities who are living here.

The President Will Be In Atlanta On Thursday

Hey Obumer! That's a magnifying glass, not a mirror! -
So people had to spend 4.4% more for the same stuff as they bought last year in January. And that's supposed to be a good thing? Sad how some people can take statistics and twist them to support whatever lies they want to tell.

We're now living in FL. No state income tax. The sales tax is cheaper than it is in Atlanta. Gas prices are about the same as GA. As of this morning our Sam's club was just a penny higher than Sam's in Hiram. The property tax is just a little higher than I was paying in GA. But my car taxes each year are about 20% of what I was paying in GA.

A 25% increase in wage costs will do one of two things. 1) Cause a lay off of MW workers or less MW workers being hired, or 2) Cause in increase in the goods and services which might result is a reduction in their consumption which might result in #1 above.

A lot of people have a tendency to defend whoever they voted for or something they spent a lot of money on, whether it is right or wrong. People don't like to admit that they were/are wrong and will quote whatever sources, make whatever claims they can in order to 'sell' their choice and try to convince others that the choice they made was the only right one. However, these people are being intellectually dishonest to themselves and to those they communicate with. Not only does it bring their intelligence and judgement into question, but also their integrity and character. I respect tho
