  1. About half of the suicides committed in the US were done with a firearm. I think it will only be a matter of time before Georgia requires a certificate from a firearms training course prior to granting a Georgia Weapons Carry License.
  2. I thought this was being done since it was the 2nd month of the year - so we could show our support of the 2nd amendment. Then I thought it was the 2nd of every month that we should show our support of the 2nd amendment. Then, why not do it the 2nd day of every week, or better yet, the 2nd hour of every day. Then I said to myself, Self, you should just continue showing your support for the Second amendment every SECOND of the day. And on whichever day they want to express 'outward' support of the 2nd amendment I'll carry it exposed on my hip. All other times it will most likely be concea
  3. I'm guessing that once these deranged individuals who are wanting to make a statement for themselves, start using Cars to kill people because they can't get firearms as easily as in the past, we'll have to take a look at whether Cars should be banned. There is no specific right to own Cars in our Constitution. Had Cars been around back in the days of our founding fathers perhaps they would have addressed the issue. A Car can readily be used to plow through a bunch of kids on a playground, taking out many more kids than were killed in Sandy Hook. A Car can readily be used to plow through
  4. A group of the Outlaws used to live in south Georgia before a bunch of them went to south Florida. The ones who stayed in Georgia changed their name to "The Remaining Few".
  5. DEAR ABBY:Do you think about dying much? CURIOUS DEAR CURIOUS: No, it's the last thing I want to do.
  6. I listen to NPR when I've eaten some bad food and I need something to help me throw up.
  7. I met a midget medium one time, but she must have done something wrong and was hiding from the police. Yep, a small medium at large...
  8. Hitch and Gear in Dallas.
  9. They talked about how much the CFL's save on electricity. They suggest changing only a few at a time. Well, I went all out and changed every bulk in the house to CFL. After two months, no change in the electric bill. Then a lot of the CFL's starting burning out. And changed them out and put the old incandescent bulbs that I had take out back in. When we sold the house, there were some incandescent bulbs that had never been changed - they lasted over 18 years. I'm surprised the government even allowed CFLs in this country. The hazards from CFL's are worse than having LEAD paint. And we
  10. When Obama was sitting there signing all of those executive order with those children standing behind him... I couldn't help but think about him wanting to raise the debt ceiling and continue his spending and making those same children pay for his excesses. Currently, paying off the national debt would require almost $52,000 from every man, woman and child (assuming 2 children per household). If Obama's spending is allowed to continue, there is no way those children, or our children, are going to be able to afford to pay even the interest on the debt in future years.
  11. Because you know that there is a legal age limit. We're not talking about breaking the law here.
  12. Yeah, there was are rather large person who used to talk about it all the time and we jokingly called it the HIPPO rule.
  13. I purchased additional guns and ammo in the last few weeks. Apparently I wasn't the only one...
  14. Walmart is in damage-control mode. They said yesterday that they plan on buying 50 Billion in goods made in the USA over the next 10 years (what's wrong with doing that EACH year?) Walmart also issued communications to their stores that they were not reordering ammunition until after the gun-control debate. What business is it of Walmart to get involved in politics? They'll lose a lot of sales over that - not just in the sporting goods section...
  15. I guess you didn't ready the executive order that Obama just signed moments ago...
  16. I think we should let teachers volunteer for gun classes and have concealed carry in schools. Not only would it stop bullying, think about about how well-behaved the students would be not knowing if their teacher is packing or not.
  17. When the gasoline grades are pumped through the pipelines they are separated by a P.I.G. It's a Plastic Interjectable Gate. It is slightly larger than the diameter of the pipe and has wiper fins and most times contains a transmitter or a magnet. That way they can tell where the PIG is and when the grade pumping is completed and ready to remove the PIG, they can accept the next grade. They've been in use for many years. Not only do they separate the grades they can also be used to separate gasolines from diesel fuel, and they also clean the pipes at the same time.Oftentimes the is detergent ag
  18. The American people are not ready to stand by and let their rights be taken away. The American people have a stronger resolve than those in Europe. Looking through these 23 points that Obama outlined, there is NOTHING, not one of them, that would have prevented the event in Sandy Hook. I would prefer for the Government to enforce the laws that are currently on the books, rather than trying to pass new laws that may be unconstitutional. There are constitutional laws on the books now that deal with some of these issues and the Government and AG fail to prosecute and enforce them.
  19. Women today, complain of hot flashes. No one complained about that years ago. Solution: eliminate those women who experience hot flashes. Apparently they are contributing to global warming. [/s]
  20. Regardless of HIPPA restrictions, the government wants access to your electronic medical records to load into a government database to restrict your ability to purchase firearms if they decide that your may be unstable.
  21. I don't know that you can be assured that you're actually getting that 'brand' when you buy it from a gas station. There were regulations passed years ago that allowed stations to buy gasoline from just about any supplier. Then you have those stations that don't refine gasoline who have to get it from someone - and it may change from shipment to shipment. I think someone once said they knew that Kroger was getting the majority of their supplies from BP.
  22. Even the "it has all the goodies, some catches" didn't clear it up for me.
  23. When I first glanced at this title I thought it was "Black Hummer for porn" and was wondering why this wasn't in the Tonk.
  24. Only FDR has served more than two terms as President of The United States… but that could change with the introduction of H.J. Resolution 15. New York Democrat Representative, Jose Serrano last week introduced a piece of legislation aimed at "an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President." All past efforts to repeal the 22nd Amendment have failed, but we believe this time it could be different due to an unprecedented economic force that's under
