This place is going to be incredible - what a phenomenal concept! Love that it is creating so many jobs and that there will be such diverse activities offered. The part that interests me the most, the cable wakeboarding, will be open for business this weekend!

We have many good attorneys in Paulding County to choose from. I have worked with major Atlanta firms, Cobb County lawyers, Paulding County firms and more recently a major firm out of Houston, TX and have been exposed to lots of lawyers. The lawyers we have in Paulding County don't get the credit they deserve - we have some very good lawyers in Paulding. I will be glad to recommend several by PM if you would like. I haven't ever personally met Captain Herb; however, we have mutual friends and they all concur that he was a wonderful human being. I will miss his traffic reports, his sense of humor and the wonderful service he provided for so many years to the citizens of Metro Atlanta. My prayers and with his family, friends and WSB family. He was truly an Atlanta legend.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough in my prior post. What I am referring to with the "rest of us" is that I don't see "the rest of us" (in this thread), personally running for public office and putting "ourselves" out there. Obviously, I understand that we all contribute in various ways for our causes, candidates and positions.

I personally appreciate Pubby stepping up to the plate and running for office. If we had more people like him that would "put themselves out there" to run for public office, it would improve the overall integrity and structure of our political system locally. Pubby is just like the rest of us, he has opinions and he has ideas that he feels would make our community a better place in which to live and work. I am pro airport and not even close to being an Obama supporter - your theory has been proven wrong. What I do realize is that "somebody's" position changed. Circumstances change, life changes, all kinds of things change in life including, but not limited to, people's minds. There are a variety of circumstances and conditions that can change any human beings mind. If a human being is not capable of changing his or her mind, then I would become really, really worried.

I don't recall saying who I am supporting for this race; however, I will tell you that I would support Pubby over Todd ANY day. I don't rely on the Republican party or any other group for that matter to tell me who to vote for - I rely on my conscience and my own personal research and it has served me very well over the years. I can't speak for Nice Green but I am Whitey and I am VERY proud of it. I have volunteered my time in many Chamber capacities and have spent lots of time in the last 20 years in their office. I can tell you first hand that our Chamber does an excellent job at promoting their members. You would be very surprised at how many people call the Chamber office on a daily basis for referrals, etc. The Chamber staff does an absolutely amazing job at steering business in the way of its members. You know, they don't advertise each and every time they refer business to one of their members -

That sounds amazing! The corned beef dinners sound wonderful and I bet it did really well at fundraisers. That would be such a good idea and change from the typical barbeque fundraisers that there are so many of. When people realize what goes into this menu, I'm sure they would ;ay more. I love pastrami but I have to admit that I have only had what they sell in the deli and have never made it myself. The pastrami with the rye and mustard sounds so good and would be a perfect appetizer.
