I don't even want to think about food right now. We had a huge family reunion today and more food in one place than I have ever seen in my life. I might not eat for another month. -
I have no idea who these people are but how would you feel if these were members of your family? Would you still be making silly jokes about this situation? My thoughts and prayers are with all involved.
-
This is exactly my husband and as much as I love him, this drives me crazy.
-
Yep - as long as I can arrange my work schedule, I will be there! I would love to be buds with Jane Ty. In fact, I am going to invite she and her family to dinner at my home as soon as she moves here. Congratulations on your Bronze Star El Zorro - that is quite an accomplishment! Thank you for your service!

I can only speak for myself; however, it is a little difficult getting to Paulding BOC meetings from Houston, TX - you know, that 13 hour one way drive and all.,,,,,, As you are aware Whitey, I have been in Houston, TX for the last 14 months due to my husband's work obligations and have just in the past month moved back to our permanent home in Paulding County. I have educated myself on the airport issue through numerous avenues, by doing research, making phone calls, etc., thus my reasons for supporting the commercialization of the airport. Now that I am home, I will be "physically"

I am very much aware of that mrshoward - I do that on a daily basis. I feel confident that our BOC has also conducted the research to do the same.

They are investing in our future - your future, my future, our children and grandchildren's future and the future of every single citizen of Paulding County. You have to invest (in numerous ways) to reap future rewards.

Its not just about the commercial service. It is about the possibilities that come along with commercial service and the increased chances of bringing in new industry due to the commercial service. We simply have to think about the future of our county, take the necessary steps to move our county into the future and provide for its economic security.

Okay, fair enough. So what are the "credentials" on those who oppose the airport as to these types of issues? There might be qualified people who have the credentials to decide if those in charge have the necessary experience to oversee this project; however, obviously, there is a difference of opinions as to this issue, thus the reason for the conflicts. I am not qualified to make the determination nor do I desire to be. I do trust our elected officials are doing what they were elected to do and that is to act in the best "overall" interests of our county and its citizens. I also

So Whitey - please give me specific information as to what requirements are needed to run our airport? What our elected officials are trying to do is utilize a very valuable asset to its fullest and most profitable potential. We were offered a very significant asset (airport) and we took it. Now our officials are trying to utilize that very significant asset to its fullest potential. Times change, circumstances change, and success in any way shape or form cannot be realized until this is recognized. If I lived my life based on the "past", I surely would not realize the full potential

Whitey, I travel that area several times a month and I haven't personally had any problem. My daughter in law's parents own a Cadillac dealership in Clayton County and are very active members of the Clayton County Chamber and business organizations and has been very involved in county government and the community. From what I understand from their "first hand" experience in owning a business there and living there, there are a lot of misconceptions about the area. I guess if you constantly seek the "negatives" in situations, you can always find them. The sad thing about that though is

Did you know that every other large city in the United States has a secondary commercial airport "except" for Atlanta? Did you know that our elected officials realize that with the current status of our airport being a general aviation airport, has not produced the desired results, thus the reason for attempting to change the course and make the airport as profitable as possible by becoming commercial? Did you realize that the commercial service sector of the airport is expected to create 2,000 to 3,000 new jobs and $350 million for the local economy? Did you realize that Pauldi

Good luck and best wishes!

Can you please tell us the "better ways" in very specific terms, not general? How do you know it would "decay" the area? Why specifically is the airport "not the better way?" Can you prove how this would not help the economy of Paulding County? Can you please provide your credentials as to your opinions (and that would not include any "selective" information that tundra, Whitey, surepip, etc. MIGHT provide you via private message). I am simply trying to determine if your "credentials" outweigh the "credentials" of the others making the decisions. Not trying to be condescending,

There are many reasons that many corporations choose to incorporate in Delaware - google it! As far as the office address, it is not uncommon at all for the address to show as the address of their "Registered Agent" who in most cases, in their legal counsel. -

I welcome you here Jane Ty and hope that you won't let this "anti" group change your plans. Kudos to you for putting the needs of your children first! There are some wonderful people in Paulding County and I am looking forward to you being a resident here soon! -

I've never been arrested, never been fired (or even laid off) from a job, don't do drugs and never have............but we won't talk about alcohol and the sorority and fraternity parties. I did get put on disciplinary probation one time for participating in a jock raid at the men's dorm. I'm ashamed to say that I intercepted the letter that went home to my parents. I fessed up later to them though. P. S. I can't believe I let you talk me into that stradial. Are you in sales? -

We ALL have things in our pasts that we are not proud of. I have those college days............ At least I have enough dignity to admit it. -
I agree and I will miss her too. Her parents were like a second set of parents to me when I got married and moved to Paulding County in 1980. They are a wonderful family and they really need our prayers right now. I feel confident that Cynthia is in heaven rejoicing with her Dad.

You want me to tell you what is tacky. That is those on here that slander other people and their families simply because "they can" as the victims are "public figures". You know what else is tacky - that is those who knowingly post "half truths" here about our elected officials knowing that some idiot is simply going to believe it just because it is posted here. You know what else is tacky? That is those who don't take the time to research on their own and are ignorant enough to simply believe anything and everything they read. You know what else is tacky? That is the individuals who get
