    There has been talk of eliminating the driveup kiosk/microphone @ fastfood stores so that in the future you will have to text your order to the person @ the pick-up window.

    Very good point, in fact for most people the question would be "how can you spend it if you don't have it?". Shouldn't that be what our "leaders in DC" do, not spend something they don't have?

    Unfortunately that is a popular myth. The inspector will perform the same inspections, and the same standard building codes will apply, if it were easier on any one it is easier on the contractor who will NOT be accepting responsibilty for the work being performed. When the homeowner "pulls" the permits the homeowner is accepting responsibility for the work.

    Why is the contractor sending your father to the county instead of pulling the permits himself?

    I would say that if you have the proper documentation to "back-up" your dispute your chances are great. It worked for me about 8-9 years ago.

    I could be mistaken, It's not a matter of how many baths but how many bedrooms/people could potentially be using the existing baths.

    Yes you can go to the tax accessor and request a meeting to dispute the value of your property. Good Luck.
